Grew up in New Haven. Can't beat whatever style Frank Pepe's and Modern are. Shit, even the cheapo pizzerias in the crime infested neighborhoods are 10/10 (Kimberly's, Pizza Empire)

The only two I have a problem with is the Detroit and that's because they put fucking Jalapeno peppers on it. I'm not a fucking beaner and I don't want Jalapeno peppers on my pizza. The other one I don't like the looks of is the California pizza. It looks like someone too a bunch of lawn clippings and put it on a pizza. No thanks.

Ditch the hot peppers on the Detroit I would eat it. But the others are fine. Except that shitty looking California pizza. I prefer thing crust though.I have had NY style pizza. It's probably the best pizza I have ever had. I didn't even have to go to NY to get it. Most places around me advertise their pizza as NY style. It usually looks just like the one in the picture.

One problem I have had with Pizza's lately is some places put too much sauce on the pizza. I don't get it. It just ruins the pizza. Especially if the sauce isn't that good. I just call it nigger pizza.

I have an Italian coworker/friend who is lukewarm on native Italian pizzas, but always orders a margarita pizza at every new Italian/pizza restaurant as a yardstick for quality. He does this internationally too -- margarita pizza is both simple and complex enough to get a good handle on a restaurant.

It's not my favorite pizza type but I've definitely started using it as a good "test" pizza.

personally I like Sicilian and fluffy thick and deep Pan Pizza. Any coal oven new york slice is fine with me too.

I don't like thin pizza as much or any of those pizzas that have more red sauce than cheese. Thick fluffy dough preferred regardless.

I like calzones quite a bit, but I also like classic American Pizzas and Pizza King's not-quite-St. Louis Style. Chicago's alright, and I need to have some more Detroit pizza to have an opinion on those, but I usually want something that has a reasonably soft dough.

As for toppings: meat lovers, or zesty Italian combos (pepperoni, sausage, salami, banana peppers).
