Which website do you really hate the most or given you the most trouble? - Cutting of my connections to Facebook made me feel 10 times as better.

In terms of functionality Facebook every update it kept getting worst for desktop users. Not to mention seeing my friends i grew up with in high school being libtards who can't take jokes. Glad i deleted my account since i used it sporaticley and for the site getting less usable and any potential employers, deans, or any one in power get upset if you said anything edgy or something deemed normal today then in the future is phobic to retards. Hope to god i don't become anything famous in irl. I really feel bad for any normie users who use that site reguraley on computer it just keeps getting worst. But i suppose most people use it on their smartphones.

Pretty much any news site. Don't yall love trying to read an article before being assaulted with a series of "sign up for our newsletter", "disable your adblocker", etc etc? Even better, isn't it so much fun when you can't even read the article because the other half is behind a paywall?
Fuck news sites.

Simple fix: always alias, don't use your real name online, and just don't use shitty platforms like facebook. 99% of people I talk to are like "yeah understandable" when I tell em that I don't have a facebook/twitter because I hate everything they stand for.

I hated my Kiwifarms thread for some niggling reason I just couldn't work out. I had such an irrational hatred for that thread and the entirety of that god damn broke dick farms fan forum that I faked my suicide and blamed it on them.

Refreshing the page and then cancelling it can help get past some paywalls if they're poorly implemented by the website.

I'd say Wikia/Fandom. Stuff like Facebook and Twitter you can just not use, but if you ever want to look up something from pop culture that only some brokebrained sperg would know, you're as likely as not to have to slog your way through one of those sites.

Twitter. I used it once to shitpost during #CancelKiwiFarms and I was amazed that it is full not just of trannies, but also full fledged zoophiles. And Twitter will rather tolerate them than someone who considers Floyd a junkie criminal who died from overdose. Also the character limit per post makes its users even more retarded.

gaiaonline. i was addicted ~10 years ago, just when the site started reeeally go downhill, "buy coins with irl money"-shit broke the economy and caused massive inflation, fuck i even sank real money to it too bcus thats what pixel game addicts do. unethical.
also cringy to the max, full of questionable weirdos and actually the pixels were ugly too. fucking shit scam site lmao

That's a tricky question - I've been online since the late 90's so I've seen a lot of websites come and go, but I think the one that I'd unironically celebrate being gone aside from Twitter is FurAffinity. I'm pretty damn sure a significant chunk of the internet's porn supply would vanish overnight if it was taken down. That, and becoming a part of the furry hivemind seems to just bring out the absolute worst in people.

Now that's a website that brings back a lot of memories. I felt the same way about Neopets when the site was quite literally abandoned, then bought by a Chinese company that brought in customization that required you to pay actual money to dress up your pets in anything that looked nice.

The sad thing is Reddit is more useful for local news. When the local news has barley information, doesn't update, then it's gone tomorrow why is it news? I've seen Twitter feeds more informant than local news.

Are you me? My friend gave me the bug and I registered an account. Believe it or not, I managed to win a lot of money on scratch offs and buy Gaiaonline gift cards from Target. Social networking sucks!

Can't use most sites now anyway as they require a Phone number. Twitter locks new accounts after around 2-48 hours after creation until you hand over your number. Really progressive of them to assume every user on the planet has a smart phone.
Wow, do they really? That sucks! I miss the good ol' days signing up and just chit-chatting with friends and what not. Back then it was simpler. Sure it's not smart to readily give up your personal information but I'm talking about in the early 2000's. When Myspace was big and Tom was your first friend.

Fucking TENOR (owned by google)

What is the purpose of this cancer? Why can't people just upload gifs to normal image hosting sites? Why must they use FUCKING TENOR??? It makes me so goddamn mad to search for a gif and get a tenor thumbnail bait and switch. Why is this garbage integrated into discord and microsoft teams? Their entire business strategy is to profit off of rehosted content they don't own, get high up on google search and attempt to disable downloading so people have to link to their garbage site.

God I hate tenor so much. They are directly responsible for making the internet worse for everyone. Seeing people embed tenor "gifs" makes me shit angry blood.

P.S.
Fuck giphy (facebook) too.

I never fell for most of social media except reddit for the simple reason that you didn't need an account and it was more anonymous than everything else. I spent way too much time lurking reddit and soaking in this whiny, restless, negative energy of that place which seem to have grown exponentially in the recent years. Stopping to read there was a very good decision.

If TV is fast food for your brain, social media is like heroine. TV is fine once in a while but social media - not even once.

Archive addons and bookmarklets (archive.today etc) bypass most paywalls. They have the added benefit of archiving the source, so it's both preserved and cucks these shitty sites out of AdBux.
Also, the article can be shared easily without worrying whether the recipient will have to fuck with the paywall.

Same for me. Would regularly crash my browser, started consuming massive network bandwidth while i wasn't using it until I used uMatrix to shut off XDR (phone home) capability, ultimately just wasn't worth it for keeping closer watch on local happenings. Facebook is a bad network citizen in general, like hitting random sites millions of time for no good reason after someone submitted an image link to the site, and their people just don't care, they think they don't have to and they're currently correct. And that's before we get to:

Facebook et. al.'s spying is much more pervasive than you realize, browser fingerprinting makes those measures only useful to avoid having random third parties without access to Facebook, Google etc.'s data connecting you to your real identity. You need to do various things to merely make it harder for them to pull off their tricks, like routinely denying JavaScript execution so you can't be fingerprinted by how your mouse moves.

Every FUCKING time I'm playing a game and get suck because I'm a retard I pull out my phone to look up walkthrough and, because god forbid I learn anything from my mistakes, end up clicking on a Wikia/Fandom page. Every god damn time there's a pop-up ad immediately when you get on the page, when you click out of that a video starts autoplaying, and then ads just randomly load in while scrolling down. It's absolutely horrendous and I'm getting upset just typing this.

Twitter. Nothing needs to be said about its users, but UX-wide it's a load of bull as well. Infinite feed without pagination that lags the shit out of any browser, constant popups asking you to log in, and no ability to open attachments in new tab with right/middle click. May Lord be merciful to creators of Nitter, as it seems that's the only way to browse this cesspit without frustration.
There are also restrictions on registrations, either completely blocking you due to "suspicious activity", or refusing to go further without providing phone number. One-time online numbers aren't an option, since it will flag you again after second login, and I'm sure as hell not giving out my real number, or any number that hints at my location of that matter. As such, any my attempt to create an account for any purpose, be that DM'ing some users or logging on on Skeb, failed.
