Today I realized something: I fucking love my job. A good 50% of my workdays is sitting around with the crew guys in a circle, talking inane bullshit and coming up with new games. (Reining champion of "the water bottle game") Going to my coworkers wedding in three days. My fucking boss actually is in the top 5 best human beings I have ever met, loyal, humble, and cares about his subordinates to a fault. I get deliberately detailed into novel assignments because "it's fun, you can get new quals, and free overtime". Last week I was just flying around with a helicopter crew because they needed a body. Everytime we go out in uniform people are buying us coffee and food despite looking like ravenous mountain hobos. We make enough money that the typical cycle is make a shitton of money, buy a pile of motorcycles and other dumb crap for a few months, then go back to work. I got a mortgage and a house by age 22.

Who else is totally satisfied with their workplace? keep your powerlevel to a minimum

Once I found out that working for someone else wasn't going to make me rich I took the plunge into my own company. After that it was all rainbows and sunshine with a solid income and having a firm handle all the tax bullshit. One company offered me more than I was making so they "bought me out" and I could not be happier with where I work as I know what we are doing is going to save lives and it's in an industry that will never EVER go away. The people I work with are highly intelligent, motivated, and on the same wavelength career wise. Management gives us anything we need for resources as they see the $$$ coming in if our project comes out that will revolutionize the industry. If it all fails, then we will pivot to another internal project and go from there all the while my benefits, pension, etc is secured.

When you don't have to worry about the basics you can focus heavily on work and the company reaps the benefits.

Been self-employed for almost 2 years now and it's the best decision I ever made. I set my own schedule and get to make a living doing something I love. How much I get out of it is determined by how much I put into it and seeing my income steadily grow is one of the best feelings in the world.

It can be frustrating, but it's all worth it when that sweet "disability"* (wink wink) check rolls in on the first of tha month.

*disclaimer: I really am a retard and I have the papers to prove it

I’m content with my job. About as close to love as you’ll get these days

Just go to different malls some days if each month, sit down, wait for people to go sit and tell me their ailments to prescribe them something.

Easiest job I've ever found.

I like my job pretty well. Pays great for my field and area, I’m learning on the job, and getting to work with some industry up-and-comers. The best part: for much of my day, I’m given tasks and left alone except for any small talk or chatter I choose to participate in.

I want to avoid power leveling, but I do game art in a small niche that's well appreciated if you need me. I love helping creative people solve their problems and helping players enjoy the games they're playing.

I can’t complain too much about my job. Not the most glamorous, but it’s an honest job that pays relatively well, has good benefits, bosses and coworkers are nice, and it’s within walking distance.

Plus, how many people get to say that they mixed up their schedule, came in hours late and instead of getting in trouble with my managers, they all tell me how worried they were due to me mentioning I was sick for a bit days prior?

Right here! The pay is shitty in my sector in general (social care) but the specialism I work in is hella rewarding and it feels like a privilege more than a job most of the time tbh

I just started working at a locally-owned cafe/sports center thing last month and I've already been promoted to lead barista and got a raise, so that's pretty rad. All my coworkers are fun to work with and every manager has commented that they're impressed by how hard I'm working. That's honestly a side effect of me being neurotic, I'd rather have task after task all shift rather than 6 hours of nothing or I'll be anxious as fuck. But it's a good work environment so even in down time I don't really feel anxious. And I love scooping ice cream, lol. That's my favorite part of the job.

My employer understands and accepts medical marijuana laws.

So like, my days are mostly fine.

Current job ain't 100% amazing, but I like it quite a bit. 32 hours a week at 17$ an hour, and I just sit at a desk doing my college work nearly the entire time. The other employees and I get along well enough despite me being terrible at conversation. Hoping that becoming a technical writer gets me a well-paying and stable position once I finish school for it.

I had a job I absolutely loved, was working toward making it a career, but ended up having to leave it because of poor middlemanagement. Now I work a job that’s completely in a different field with a completely different skill set for more pay, but I don’t like it as much.
