Flood needs to infect existing bio-forms, don't they? Tyranids have huge advantage in that they can reproduce all their units on their own.

The flood would infect the geese and their hatred and malice would corrupt the flood and turn them into honking death squads that would spread across the galaxy terrorizing everything.
