You know what, you're right. I concede. Although I feel the isekai genre has so much potential, and it's wasted on basically making high school dramas but in a high fantasy MMO setting.
biggest crime of the isekai genre is killing cool ideas for fantasy world right in its infancy by adding shitty isekai and gaming trope to it. Like just give me some good fantasy shit, your MCs dont need to be some japanese boy, he can just be from the world your creating.

The entire cast of Friends in varying degrees. It's a mystery how they all even became friends and stayed that way because they are all terrible people.

Ross is probably the worst, he's an absolute psychopath at times lol. Very controlling of his relationships, gets jealous that Rachel has a new job and a male assistant, gets jealous that her boss is a male and stalks her then when she puts some distance between them he keeps calling her, assumes she must be cheating so cheats on her. Regularly ignores his own son when they have time together, screwed up his second marriage because he wanted Rachel back instead of being with somebody that actually wants him, knocked up Rachel, married her while drunk then lied about getting it annulled.

Rachel isn't too great either she regularly lies a lot and is self-centered. Doesn't want Ross to date anyone after she gets knocked up but then starts dating Joey behind his back and gets numbers off guys she tries to hide from Ross. They honestly deserved each other because they are both shitty people.

I also hated how Joey was a jobless bum but Chandler was supportive of his friend's ambitions to be an actor. Chandler covered his half of the rent, paid the bills and for food, paid to get headshots done and for acting classes because he had the stable job for years. When Joey finally gets his big break in acting and starts making money he moves out the apartment and buys lots of expensive stuff but never actually paid Chandler back for all the money he put in to supporting his career. He also didn't invite his friends to lavish parties with cast members from his TV show and lied about what he was doing so they wouldn't show up and embarrass him. Chandler also tried to give him money when he moved out to live with Monica just to help him out. What a dick.

Every show has to be a power fantasy about an old nerd who has nothing going for him being reborn into a world where he's super OP and every girl wants to bang him.

The only good character is Phoebe.

Phoebe is the fucking worst. She's the person who's always just around to eat your food and make snide comments. It's not quirky and lovable when you say you're flakey, you're just admitting you have no commitment and are only there to profit. I havent seen Friends since I was younger and I dont remember a single nice thing Phoebe ever did for anyone.

Caillou definitely wins but someone already posted him.

The schizo bitch from Weeds is pretty fucking bad. She is selfish airhead who makes stupid decisions that completely fuck up her life and her children's lives. That whole show is awful but I have a deep hatred for the mother.

Dark horse candidate here, but Todd from Beavis and Butthead. Pretty much every single degenerate bully no account sleazebag every town has that somehow gets away with everything. Even B&B for all their idiocy have a tiny modicum of charm.

Weeds was an ok show, pretty forgettable and only really notable 'cause LE EDGY WEED HAHA 420 AMIRITE GUYS?

I absolutely hated the main character of Gilmore Girls, no idea why a family member of mine loved that show. The dialogue was like machine gun fire, I swear the writers get paid by the word, and she was manipulative and extremely immature, but I guess that comes with the territory of having a child at 16 years old or however old the MC was.

Lena Dunham’s character (herself) in Girls was terrible. She proclaimed herself the voice of her generation and stole a cleaning lady’s tip all in the same episode.
