Mine is King Edward III of England - the man who through his administrative reforms and military development - especially on the navy - helped lay the foundation for what would later become the biggest superpower in world history - Great Britain.

Also helps that he fucked french people over multiple times in the process.

A shame there's no decent show about his reign. Think it would be really compelling and entertaining if done right.

True Augustan energy.

Any king that fought on the battlefield with his men.

Charles II, but only because of the Horrible Histories skit.
Also there was a Civ V mod that let me play as him and it was the only time I ever enjoyed playing a 4X game. I did an entire game of British monarchs fighting over britain, including girl king arthur from that anime that sucks.

Elizabeth I. The way she weathered and overcame the pope declaring her rule illegitimate, foiled papal-backed assassination attempts, and finally crushed the monarch the pope sent to defeat her was impressive enough, but she also had the wherewithal to not let the Puritans take charge.

Cleomenes I because he was a schemer and a lunatic.

Qaboos of Oman. Overthrew his lunatic father, won a civil war and turned a complete shithole country (poor and backwards even by the then standards of the arabian peninsula) into one of the richest and most stable countries in the region.

Charles Martel. He unified the country by pacifying the Frankish Kingdom and ended the last of the great Arab invasions of France. This is when he got his surname "Martel" (hammer) because he had violently crushed the Muslim troops like a hammer, also because he deeply traumatised everyone in Europe whit his pragmatism.
He's at the origin of the feodal system, including among the many reforms the creation of a specialized warrior class with territory and titles: the knights.
The funniest thing is he was never officially appointed as a monarch, he just took the power and ruled in complete illegality until his death lol

Henri IV le Vert Gallant's personality and style are very similar to his
but From a fugitive pursued by the Qin Empire to an emperor who ruled over most of China, he it only took seven years
Although he later years likes male children to dress up as women and serve him

Queen Victoria without a doubt. The results speak for themselves. Her reign brought the British empire to its height, led to a lot of prosperity, and relatively few wars to speak of.

That being said the Irish potato famine could have been avoided. That kind of cruelty was not necessary.
