You can get a student loan at 30. There isn't an age limit.Frankly I think its ridiculous to be a doomer before you're in your thirties, and most doomers are not even in their 20s yet, not even out of highschool or even middleschool.
Like if you're unemployed, still living with your parents and don't get to punch your v-card at 20 that's bad but not the end of the world, you can still get your life together.
But if you are all that at 30 or 40 now that's bad, the odds of getting out of that hole are slim, for example who is gonna hire a 30-something with no experience? can you even qualify for college students loans anymore? How you deal with the fact that your parents are likely a decade or less from dying?
Now that's true doomer territory, real dread, knowing time really is up must be a terrible feeling.
Alright, what about all the other problems I mentioned? You can get a student loan at 30. There isn't an age limit.
No hope for those other ones.Alright, what about all the other problems I mentioned?
Which is my point: if you're gonna be a doomer you have to be past the point of no return. No hope for those other ones.
Sorry Jim. At least you get to cuddle with Jade every night. You should treasure that.Having cancer and being stuck in hospital for like 2 years didn’t help my outlook
Just don't let her make tacos again.Sorry Jim. At least you get to cuddle with Jade every night. You should treasure that.
That really does sound horrifying. I do think though if this will continue to be seen as less taboo or something (not a good thing though) with the way things are in society with people marrying later in life, more people having "failure to launch," an economy that isn't great and all of these other issues. I suppose that someone in that situation wouldn't be in too bad of shape if they've got a decent inheritance heading their way if they're competent otherwise (at least not an idiot, can cook for themselves, not go crazy with spending, etc.) Not much of a life, however. But if you are all that at 30 or 40 now that's bad, the odds of getting out of that hole are slim, for example who is gonna hire a 30-something with no experience? can you even qualify for college students loans anymore?
