Karl Marx was a misanthrope who wanted to burn shit down and was an all-around poor excuse of a human being. He simply saw communism as a means by which he could bitch and moan about the current society he lived in.

Someone did mention earlier in this thread that what neo-marxism does is shift the conflict away from class warfare towards other power struggles, like that based on ethnicity, culture, sex, and even alternative lifestyles.

Queer theory is yet another means by which people can vent their spleen at society. They are filled with anger over the fact that heterosexuality is the default mode (and is for a damned good reason). They resent the fact that most people aren't naval-gazing retards who entertain impractical delusions like being born as the wrong sex. While I disagree with James Lindsay on a lot of things, he described very eloquently how a lot of left wing ideologies, like feminism, communism, or even queer activism, has a sort of Gnostic ideology at their very core. A belief that the powers that be, like God or society, is inherently evil and needs to be overthrown. A sort of Truman Show Delusion so ingrained, even evidence against their beliefs, or any opposition whatsoever, is only proof that the right-wing Demiurge is trying to stop them.

Basically, like communists or Marxists, queers are miserable coomers with an irrational, burning hatred towards society for not affirming them every second of the day. Like communists/marxists, they want to completely revamp society to their arbitrary whims.

Communsim, marxism, queer theory, etc appeals to pretty much everyone who hates society and humanity, regardless of economic class. Regardless of the fact that their degenerate lifestyles aren't even compatible with communist beliefs.

Why isn't reality the way I want it just because I want it that way? Obviously, it's an elaborate conspiracy against me. There couldn't possible be a rational reason it is, because I can't see what it is, I mean, I want it to be different. And yet it's not.

Being a victim in real life is terrible, it's very traumatic and you want it over and your every natural desire is to escape and overcome it. But they twist the "victim" role into one of angelic purity and thus imbedded with absolute moral authority. Since there are only two allowed classes (Rule of the Sith), the powerful class is the class which claims victim status. The narcissist turn often expresses the victim class as the center of attention of the oppressor. All Nazis are thus "obsessed" with the Jew, all TERFs with the trans women, etc. They even invert dehumanization to where the "hate" is now that the person is too human and the oppressor can't stand it. In reality, historically, the oppressor classes don't even think of the oppressed, they're a feature of the world not an obsession that drives every thought until the object of hatred is finally gone. (Let's turn to the Nazis again since they're the ur example, yes, they hated the Jews but it wasn't just because they hated them randomly instead they constructed an elaborate story to create a utilitarian reason the community needed to be "defended" from the Jews. Pure random hate doesn't get you very far beyond sociopaths.) Look at how often they're unable to resist claiming that their haters really are just sexually obsessed with them, the purest form of narcissism.

The idea some things simply are is not allowed because reality exists purely to serve me and my desires. You say it's nature and nature is more powerful than me? The narcissism even extends to how they "learn" these ideologies, in that they don't. If they are, then they simply "improve" on it by writing that stuff out or simply "find" that the collectives goals are always their own and never opposed to them. Sure, that collapses an already flimsy structure even more but you're again making a mistake, you forget they can will the structure to stand and bear the weight of the entire utopia.

1) Both are manifestations of Fuck-You-Dadism. You'll see most of them are outspoken atheists as well.

2) As many of you have pointed out, both Marxism and Queer Theories are examples of Conflict Theories, pitching the in-group of "victims" against the outgroup of "oppressors". They also believe in a teleology that the oppressors will be eventually completely, decidedly vanquished (instead of a more likely scenario that the two groups coexist in an uneasy balance). This "triumph over evil" narrative is very attractive.

Feminism is the Conflict Theory of choice if a woman isn't ready to yeet her teets yet, and indeed most Second and early Third Wavers are at least sympathetic to Communism. Indeed in Feminism you can see how Conflict Politics evolve: Second Wave was the last time when feminists believed that men will be made redundant by reproductive technologies; by the Third and Fourth wave, Feminism is chiefly about conspicuous consumption of the female identity, so by that point Feminism is in perfect harmony with Capitalism. Same goes for western communism: by the 90s, communists are all about branding and identity, and they no longer pretend to care about the downtrodden workers in the Third World, and will gladly consume whatever group signifiers that Capitalists are eager to peddle.

Because communism is a dead ideology. It's not a motivating force at all in the world, so like all such ideologies it attracts larpers who would have been scorned by its original practitioners. Libertarians ranting about 'commies' and 'socialism' are tilting at windmills, which is why they never accomplish anything. All of the shit they rightly moan about and condemn is being funded, driven, and supported by what Marx would call 'capital'. But capital is incredibly powerful, and opposing them would take guts and come with costs. Communism, like other forms of collectivism, is only attractive to the weakest members of a society. It gives them the illusion that they *finally* have some power, even if it is only as a collective.
