I have seen multiple people with down syndrome work jobs and contribute to society. Which is more than any person with a thread here has done. Autism/retardation is a bit of meme here but it's really ones actions that turns people into lolcows, not something more fundamental like down syndrome.

Nick Rekieta pre coke and alcohol abuse, Bossmanjack pre crack, and Jack Scalfani come to mind as well. The drugs destroyed both of their brains in a different yet comparable way to mental handicaps. Even KingCobraJFS messed his brain up by huffing duster, just not to a significant degree.

People with aspergers/autism, like KingCobraJFS, still function and have a semi normal mental capacity and capability, they just have issues with other things such as communication and social norms. Cobes doesn't quite understand that talking about shitting his pants while high on acid or killing a baby bird in a parking lot because "it was going to get run over anyways" are socially unacceptable but he can take care of himself, work a job, have full conversations with people, and remember stuff without much trouble. That's why we seem him post this funny stuff online but not quite understand why people laugh at it and him.

People with down syndrome tend to have developmental delays and mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, often putting a ceiling or cap on their abilities to think and remember. Many might just not be able to use the Internet to enough of a degree to be noticed or many might not post things that are funny in a lolcow way. I also don't think down syndrome people tend to have other lolcow related traits/disorders such as main character syndrome, narcassism, and BPD. There are also overlaps with sexual degeneracy in many autistic lolcows, including AGP with troons, weird furry stuff, or general porn addiction. I don't think the same can be said for down syndrome people in general.

Where Bossmanjack can stop and think to himself "I should stop gamba and smoking crack" or KingCobraJFS saying "I need to control my temper and drink less" someone with down syndrome may never even have those thoughts. There may not be the capability to self-reflect, removing a key aspect of what makes someone a lolcow. It's funny to see someone walk into a wall, understand they walked into a wall, know they shouldn't, but do it again anyways because they won't change. It's not too funny to see someone walk into a wall, not understand what's happening, be unable to understand they are walking into a wall, but do it again because they just can't know any different.

One can change but doesn't, the other just can't undestand.

Unpopular opinion but autists are socialized to be that way by iPads and emotionally neglectful parents. That's why they all have the exact same solipsism and emotional void as orphans with reactive attachment disorder. Downs syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality. They are dumber but don't have emotional and social problems unless they're experiencing dementia, some other kind of neurological problem. I've seen them run their own social media accounts, drive cars in short distances around their town, even buy alcohol. But they really behave like a 5 year old child would. It's nothing that would make them an lolcow.

Autistic people spend a lot of time online exposing their retarded nature because that's just what mentally ill people do. They're unstable, borderline sociopathic.
