Why are there so many “white nationalists” nonwhite?

There are probably just as many reasons as there are people. I could imagine any minority with a triple-digit IQ looking at major minority advocates on television and on campuses and cringing. Even when they're not grifters, they're insane or whiny, preaching minority rights, but talking about them like they're helpless without whitey's help and money. Many of them probably often have the thought, "no individual white person has ever done anything wrong to me".
The increasing likelihood that North America and Europe will soon become majority non-white probably has some of those minorities thinking "what comes next" and not liking the possibilities they see. Asians are already fucked by Affirmative Action policies and probably see that not just taking from the successful, but totally grinding them down is a big part of any minority advocate's agenda. Natives/First Nations have their reservations where they can be sort of sovereign by the grace of white people who could have wiped the out, the fate of many conquered peoples, and they see a future where unassimilated foreigners with no concept of the rights that made their reservations possible dealing the final blow to their peoples. Hispanics can simultaneously be minorities and not minorities, depending on what they believe or what they do, as George Zimmerman learned, and unless they have at least a significant plurality, this status will not help them. For blacks, a majority of white people already in the US are not descended from anyone who owned a slave, so are hard enough to guilt trip for gibs, so without a white majority, they'd be told to fuck off real quick. Anyway, it's not white people who benefit from there being a white majority.
I could probably write several pages on this, but it's not quite that interesting to me.

Hmm seriously though, i've never came across a black, East Asian or South Asian white nationalist, unless you merely mean a 4channer, or in the real world, a right-wing populist type.

The non-white white nationalists all seem to be in the "white if you move the goalposts wide enough" category (Brazilians, Mexicans, Turks, 50/50 white/nonwhite etc.)

I think is very simple. You disagree with the left, you are a nazi therefore a white nationalist (or white supremacist, it is just all the same for them). And Hitler is the “ultimate right” dictator so youngster that are more right will like him and they end up getting confused.

I think in most cases, they're smart enough to be aware that they and their people are being used as pawns in one way or another.
There might be others that are hedging their bets on a big reversal of immigration someday, and that being on record denouncing anti-white interests will support their plea to stay in the west.

I think it's funny that they're calling Kanye West, of all people, a Nazi when he's black and obviously just an attention whore pulling idiotic publicity stunts just to piss off stupid people.

I'm pretty much convinced that all celebrities are mentally ill, it's just that social media makes it all the more obvious.
