First that Virginia governor, now Trudeau.

Why is it so hard for Leftists to not do blackface? What the fuck? I live within easy driving distance from the birthplace of the KKK and I've never done blackface, or seen anybody do blackface, or heard anybody express any interest in it.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? I'm not offended, either, I find it bizarre that this is apparently a common theme among them. I know that "Democrats are the real racists" is a boomerism, but how else can you explain this nonsense?

You have only listed two examples. I don't know that's enough to declare the Left loves blackface.

Don't get me wrong. I'm an ultra-right wing, religious, American southerner. I would love the excuse to be a dick to people over it. But two examples is not proof.

Right wingers do it too. But their voters don't care. Having done blackface, or said "insensitive things" is the left wing equivalent to a right winger being outed as a homosexual or philanderer.

But in a fun turnabout the Left has "won" the war in convincing society its okay to be gay and also to have sex with people other then your spouse. Which means the Right Wing politicians get a pass for flip flopping on their prior moral convictions on these issues. Left Wing politicians on the other hand have no mercy if they are outed for being racially insensitive or daring to engage in heterosexual sex with someone other then their spouse who did not agree to the encounter in formal contract with witnessed notary. End result? Any male liberal who has engaged in heterosexual sex is an unelectable oppressor because all it would take is one of the former lovers to experience his penis to say she actually hated the sex to ruin his career.

Also, for the ladies, you had better not say anything at all on the internet that could be used as justification for a twitter lynching. Not just online, but also to your friends. Or shall we say former friends, because your roommate just HAS to go on twitter and say you called Jamal next door a nigger to also ruin your career/political prospects. Oh, did you not say that to your roomate? oops. Guess you should not have had a roommate at all, and given some random bitch the position of claiming personal attribution to you.

Aw, who am I kidding. Any liberal that wants power at all cannot have any human relationships at all. Because any relationship opens them up to betrayal a few decades down the road when the inevitable accusation occurs. And unlike the right wing, in the left wing an accusation is all it takes. Just ask Senator Al Franken. Anything you do, with anyone, will be used against you, in context or not. So you cannot have any human relationships at all if you are left wing. Unless of course you are in the good graces of the access media. But such access will require for the men the absolute cuckoldry of their beliefs, and for the women, well, you know what your knees are for ladies. So progressive.

A more interesting question to me is why are they so scared of it? I mean it's an archaic form of entertainment, like most things that were part of vaudeville acts. But they are scared shitless of it, like it's the worst thing a person could do short of going on a racist killing spree. Like I have leftie friends who get mad at me for enjoying the 1941 film "Holiday Inn" with my family at Christmas because they have heard it is EVIL due to a 2 minute blackface bit. When it airs on TV, they clip out that part. What's so scary about blackface compared to like, cheesy Russian accents that are in practically every thriller and a lot of comedies, or for that matter, drag shows?

It's a college party frat thing, it has nothing to do with politics. They always had stupid themes that you would abide by, and since everyone at the party was doing it, you could get away with it. Normal people who don't enjoy the spectacles of dumbass college parties wouldn't understand half the shit they do at the more extreme ones, blackface is a minor part of that.

I was going to make a joke here, but really, all I can boil it down to is the fact that most SJW-types are the political equivalent of euphoric (southern) atheists, or, born-again-again atheists.
They're ex-jokers who are deeply ashamed of making jokes in the past that seem offensive, and are trying to show their repentance for their past deeds by self-flagellating and trying to police and prevent people from making the same jokes they did in the past.

Source: I have a friend who's gone full "no more offensive jokes" euphoric SJW because they don't want to be an "depressed edgy memer" anymore.

This is pretty much the fundamentals of it. The left has a shitload of rules so in order to be a left wing leader you basically have to be perfect, and as soon as you aren't they will eat you alive for it. They eat their own incessantly and it's great to watch.

The modern right wing does not give a single shit about people being gay. In fact they bask in token gays who are conservative because it goes to show that the left does not own crowds of people, such as gay people or black people. The right loves it when gays and blacks and hispanics and everyone else goes right wing because these are the groups that the left tries so hard to pander to and say that as a gay/hispanic/black/whatever person, you cannot be right-wing because that makes you an internalized racist or internalized misogynist or whatever stupid buzzword they have.

This isn't really correct. This is more of a time-based thing, not political stance based. Trump is the first US president to take office who was pro-gay-marriage since the beginning. When Obama was elected, he was quoted as saying that he believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. It was just the more widely held belief at the time, or, it was what politicians believed was the more widely held belief at the time. The first president to be pro-gay from the start was a right winger.

Also I remember reading that right wingers, placing high importance on family, overwhelmingly support their gay children because in the end they're still family. I haven't really seen much to support that gay rights have been anything more than an issue of time and trends.

If you even used to espouse right-wing beliefs, the left will hate you for it, demand apologies and self-loathing and force you to acknowledge your privilege and all that shit. It doesn't matter if something you said or did at a certain time was acceptable, you have to be squeaky clean and perfect and have a flawless track record of hating all the right shit and telling straight cis white men to die.
