Why cant phone posters use posting functions? - Like video embedding and emotes?

The edit bar above the text box (the one with the Bold option, italics, hyperlinks, embed, emotes etc) is grayed out and won't let me use it. Is there some sort of option I am missing or is it disabled for Android users?

The mobile layout on most sites are pretty bad, and websites that outright change their entire layout for desktops to fit more with the mobile look end up being the worst looking sites with shitty, barely functional features.
I suppose Null could revamp the mobile layout for the forums but I'd imagine it's very low priority.

I've used them on my tablet. But I use the desktop browsers on it anyway. I hate phone apps.

Mobile hasn't caught up with desktop when it comes to this sort of stuff. And devs decided the answer was to make websites uglier. At least KF isn't hideous by default.

First, as said above, check your bb code situation, make sure < [ ] > is turned off.

I second whoever said old vs new phone makes a difference in format for phone fagging. My older phone (circa 2016) wouldn’t show format properly, my newer one (circa 2020) shows format how it appears on my pc. I use multiple browsers regularly, it’s likely an OS issue, but could be a hardware issue too.

The “fuck phonefag’s” claim cracks me up, because most of the guys & girls saying that don’t even know why, they just know that it’s the cool thing to say. What an offhand thing to be territorial about. Post how you want, as long as you get your formatting on point. Who cares about some users opinion that set a bandwagon standard, once? If you’re not posting slop, it doesn’t matter.

Learn to archive from your phone. Learn how to insert image thumbnails so they align left, then no one can tell. Computer posting is easier, as it’s clearly visible when you fuck yr format, phone posting w/ decent format isn’t impossible, or even that difficult, particularly w/ a newer model.
