Why did they add the date we joined under our avatars?

If you're mobile/phone posting, you can't even see the date if that helps.

Not really a huge deal. A lot of people have changed names and/or lurked before signing up. (I was lurking the fourms back in 2013 and only finally registered years later because Null closed off public access for awhile.)

It's just like the True and Honest banners. I've had people DM'ing asking if it's a super secret club, etc. It just means we donated money to the Farms and get access to a few hidden perks. Nothing else.

I guess it's to stop clout chasing. If you can see when people joined, then it's clear what stuff they've been exposed to since becoming a member.

Or null is reading rules for radicals again.

Same here, I started lurking on and off in 2014 and finally got an account in 2020. It was primetime due to covid and the riots, but before that I really took the advice of "lurk moar" to its extreme.
I was told Josh charges $10 for an account back in 2014 and I took that seriously until like 2018.

I don't mind the join date being shown on all posts. I don't need to see a join date to tell if someone is a newfag. They make it really obvious.

If fat moot really wanted to be devious, he could include reaction-score:post-count ratio just under the displayed join date.

He's going to run out of discernable colors in a few years anyway. Maybe that's it: once we hit full spectrum he'll sell the site to transgender activists.
