So i teach in four classes and all of them have autistic kids, some a little bit, others are full spastic

They all really really really like Sonic the Hedgehog. Why? Why is this specific franchise so appealing for those who have the tism?

Autism is actually not the reason. The Japanese are extremely autistic and Sonic cannot be successfully marketed there. Sonic The Hedgehog was successfully marketed towards Americans not because they are just autistic but because they are niggers. His design appeals to the usual niggers as spikey hair like from Dragon Ball and fighting games appeals to niggers.

Chris Chan was a white nigger. his house was at the state a nigger's house was. He essentially lived like a nigger. That's why he was into Sonic the Hedgehog as it appeals to autistic niggers.

He is one of the greatest and most attractive characters ever thought up. He can run at sound speed, take out enemies in a flash, and best of all, he's blue colored and knows how to handle the females

My assumption always was the very large and clear facial expressions and clear good - evil boundaries.

Bonus crackpot theory: Large expressive eyes are/would be a selected-for trait amongst autistic populations. I.e. Anime.

Colorful, loud, fast, has a ton of characters and lore.
Also, gooners jerk it to those animals.

Because autists love running in public for no reason
This is true, my autist students love running in the kitchen and every fucking day i warn them to not do so

Makes me want to bash their autistic heads in

Why won't autistic people love Mario then? He also runs fast, take out enemies in a wide variety of ways, he's red and italian (very important!)

Who was that one graphic designer guy that has his own website and he got popular for making a super autistic sonic review Anyone know who that guy was he’s hilarious. Not sammyclassicsonicfan

Bright shiny colors, cast of furries, Saturday morning cartoon levels of good vs evil with zero nuance, over exaggerated attitude/emotions easy enough for the average tard to understand, wacky zany childish humor. The series is a perfect recipe to draw speds in because it caters to everything they obsess over.

one two button my shoe

I'm just guessing but my theory is bright cartoony, colour coded characters, a simple easy to understand story with enough random background shit for autists to come up with lore and theories about, anthropomorphic animals, robots, several cartoon series, powerup transformations that make the hero turn gold with spiky hair. On the plus side it means there's a pretty active sonic romhacking community with a retarded amount of romhacks out there.

What I've always been kind of curious about is what is it about sonic that makes so many autists create weird self insert characters? Like more than any other autist heavy franchise autists seem to love inserting themselves as sonic characters. A good number of those romhacks are literally just sonic but with some autistic custom oc insert character instead. I can't even think of any other games where there's a romhacking community devoted to hacking themselves into the game.

As a sperg with a childhood love of Sonic I particularly loved how the characters were distinct but quite similar looking and colour coded. It was just the right amount of distinctiveness and uniformity that satisfied my autistic taste.
