Why do Democrats want to break the Social Contract?

Because they don't believe in a social contract. They are moral realists who believe the world should and must be a certain way, and that any means to affect change to that ends is justified. They believe not only that anyone who opposes this is actually evil, but that any effort a person spends to any ends other than actualizing it counts as opposing it. Tikkun Olam is an obligation.
