It was a plot by the liberal media and the dental industry to trick you into buying useless appliances and pastes.Well the lack of sleep probably leads to increased catecholamine release (adrenaline, norepinephrine, etc) which stimulates the digestive system. Plus not sleeping tends to lead to greater consumption of sugary/calorie rich food, likely as a means of trying to compensate for the reduced efficiency of energy metabolism caused by sleep deprivation.
Overall it stresses the body, stress on the body causes a person to shit more.
It's also extremely unhealthy, sleep isn't just there for decoration you know. I dare a motherfucker to step up and try to not sleep properly when I'm around. I'll walk into their room at night and shout "Hey, are you asleep?" and if they don't answer "Yes" we're going to have it out.
