Why do people hate Anna?

I can't stand Anna because it's obvious she white knights Chris in order to make herself feel morally superior to everyone else. If she was truly a friend, she'd exceed the Hurtful Truth level by telling Chris the things he needs to hear, rather than what he wants to hear. She's the same as any other troll, using Chris for her own personal emotional gain. It's sickening.

Well, honestly, I agree with other people saying that telling the truth to Chris won't get him to stop being an asshole. But I do think that she's at least encouraging him to be more of an asshole with her asspats. She has a responsibility not to asspat him, particularly on issues where other people are being harmed. That's a really good point, we have said a lot that if anna was a true friend, she would call chris out of his bullshit everytime he does something bad, but, on the other hand, it's not her responsability to do that, that's fair enough, but the thing that is really annoying, is that, instead of not doing anything (like most people on chris's friend list) or just watching from a long distance (like us, in this forum) she does something even worse than trying to change chris's mind, and that is, encouraging him to keep being an asshole, and she does it because she's not ok and she feels the need to escape from her reality and enter in her fantasy world were she's an amazing and really important person for helping the poor autistic chris... it's the same thing that chris does, but in a passive-aggressive way.

Both anna and chris need to get their shit together and seek help...

Nah, Chris came up with the ideas of tomgirl-tism on his own, for his own emotional problems.

I think part of the tomgirl thing is related to Chris' cargo cult way of dealing with the world, but he also has some serious "lack of focus" on matters of gender. I would say "confusion", but he's not so much confused as missing the whole concept. In other words, Chris' take on gender roles is just as "unique" and "individual" to him as his use of spelling and semi-colons.

Lesbians was just a bonus to him. Of course, a bonus he really likes the idea of.

Doubtless because Chris' concept of lesbians comes from Anna and pornography, not from any actual real world examples. Pornography has taught Chris that all lesbians are at least moderately attractive, young, and not just a little slutty.

In the real world, the only lesbians who would ever even consider this "bonus" for him would be even more unattractive, slovenly, and desperate than he is. And that's another mental image I really didn't need.

Probably. But asspatting him for his assholish behavior and reinforcing his delusions definitely won't. Given the choice between a hurtful truth that probably won't improve him and a comforting lie that definitely won't, I have to go with the truth, no matter how hurtful. And besides, it's the truth.

Yeah, that's the biggest problem with Anna. She goes beyond regular ass-patting Chris to never improve, and actually encourages Chris to be worse. And what's worse is she doesn't do it intentionally, but simply because she never, ever stops to think about what she tells him.

If Anna actually were some sort of cunning, master troll acting on a multiple year master plan intentionally working to drive Chris further down his downward spiral, well that would earn at least a little respect without admiration. But she isn't. She does what she does because she's too intellectually lazy and irresponsible to do better.

On topic though, Anna is just one of those people that you can't help but get rubbed the wrong way by. Her constant asspatting of Chris and failure to chastise him for his wrongdoings is one of the key things for me. Oh, yeah, she may have called him out on his double standard of being pro-lesbian marriage and being against dem homos getting married, but what about all of the other shit? Next I would have to say she's managed to pull some of her friends and even her own mother into the fray in an attempt to increase the numbers of the Asspatter's Circle Jerk.

My opinion on Anna:

I remember when she first came back onto the trolling scene sometime after Chris went dark. I remember that /cow/ went crazy--a lot of the people who weren't around for the start of things positively jizzed themselves at a chance to hear about Chris from an eyewitness that wasn't PVCC (which, of course, was "hoarding the lulz" and therefore the devil). Anna invited them all into a Tinychat room, and it became really goddamn obvious that she expected trolls to worship her simply because she knew Chris in person for a while. When the newfags realized this, the chat devolved into Anna alternating between asking people to follow her on Tumblr and banning everyone who pointed out the faults in her arguments.

Some time after that fiasco, she popped up on Facebook and tried to get Chris to purge his friends list--I have a strong suspicion that she was trying to get back at the trolls for not praising her meager contributions to Chris's story.

Then there's the fact that she thinks that someone's mental state at the time justifies anything you do. She thinks that you should be allowed to break the law if you're having a bad day. She thinks that the cops are bad people for arresting Chris after he struck a man with his car and fled the scene.

She believes Chris's eyewitness testimony--the word of a person who is highly likely to misinterpret what he sees happening due to his autism--over anything else. She doesn't even try to press Chris for evidence when he began to make outlandish accusations against Megan--all he had to do was say "My parents overheard her telling LIES about me!". She just swallowed Chris's story and went about her business, convinced that she had the truth. For someone who keeps boasting that she knows Chris better than anyone else, that's a pretty severe oversight. And when Chris began wishing death on Mimm's girlfriend? Did she say "Chris, do you realize that wishing death on innocent bystanders is a really bad thing to do", or did she say "Chris, you shouldn't wish death on someone while you're on probation"?

Really, it's her arrogance that gets me. She's positive that she knows more about Chris than anything else, but in reality anyone on this forum could probably outwit her.

I think everyone who uses FB a lot has that one friend who just confuses the crap out of you with their pointless drama. "Hey, I'm going on FB to talk about all the really bad decisions I make and how I don't like dealing with the consequences, then if anyone points out how dumb I am, I'll complain about how people are JUDGEMENTAL!!!"

I think Anna has to fill that role for several of her FB "friends".
