Why do people who commit famous tragedies (almost) all look the same?

By that, I'm referring to the recent tragedies. Things like the Isla Vista shooting, the Buffalo shooting, etc.

For those of you who have not been watching the news, they recently found out who the shooter (Luigi Mangione) of the United Health CEO was. They ran his face from the camera footage through an algorithm and managed to find him at a McDonald's when someone pointed him out (which McDonald's paid the price for with review bombing, like wow people, misplaced priorities much). But I couldn't help but notice after looking at him how similar he and so many other people look. He looks like Elliot Rodger who looks like Nikolas Cruz and so on, which I mostly began to realize only after trying to check if Luigi's face in the mugshot looked like the one in the camera footage. People at my workplace who aren't thrilled that it's been memed so many times and that there's actually Luigi Mangione merchandise right now (as if this would have even been what Luigi wanted, his motives literally being against what he saw as the system of capitalism) are already calling it the "loser glaze".

Is there some kind of reasoning for this? I do know a lot of times there is a "glaze" for certain things, for example facial recognition technology has been used at the expense of people who identify as LGBT, and there have been rumors of a Mormon glaze. Even if it's a coincidence, I can't be the only one who has noticed/thought of this.

Physiognomy is pseudoscientific, goy. Shut the thread down.
It's not like physiognomy as a classical study being false doesn't mean certain forms of inference don't prop up from time to time in serious discussion, as shown in the studies about facial recognition and relationship orientation (which I don't know is confirmed without a doubt or not, just that the concern exists and is profound enough it has put a slight halt to the technology). It is a real curiosity of mine. I'm not asserting there is a face to being a shooter so much as I'm saying there's a huge association at play and the thought has come up in hindsight.

What the fuck is "committing" a "tragedy"? Is that what your mom called it when she gave birth to you?
Was attempting to speak in a general way there. Some umbrella term to refer to the mass shootings, celebrity shootings, targeted attacks, etc.
Hmm... Two eyes, a mouth, ears on the sides of his head, hair, skin, teeth... SERIAL KILLER!
It would be one thing if it didn't seem like a lot of them didn't just leave the same family stylist. Though the new pictures of Luigi do make him look different compared to the OG ones.
It might be caused by your face blindness. These people do not look alike at all.
I wouldn't rule this out. Though the search for Luigi made the similarities come to mind more. If they were all seen going around hooded and partially concealed, I wonder who would be able to tell who is who. If AI can come to a conclusion like that, it's worth hearing out.
how is a ceo that values money over human life getting assasinated a tragedy?

oh.
because your a faggot lobotomite who thinks corporations actually care about you.
That depends. Do I think all corporations have the same attitude? No. It's always weird when one generalizes all the thousands of those. And it's still overkill what happened, given the business didn't stand out in terms of its practice.
Not to mention a lot has come out since Luigi did his act which raises a few eyebrows.
He started off thinking his identity would never be known. Nope.
Then everyone thought he wouldn't be found before leaving the country once his identity was found out. Nope.
Then when he was arrested, everyone thought of Luigi as a hero serving the working class who was against the habits of capital. Nope, he's literally riding off of merch right now.
When he got his fundraiser for his legal defense, everyone thought the messages sent to him in that fundraiser might reflect genuine concerns. Nope, the majority were artificially provided/fabricated, many by the same people.
And finally, it was discovered he wasn't even insured with United Health in the first place.
The guy is a letdown. A lolcow by some peoples' definition, at least if those people aren't any of the ones sending the McDonald's store he got caught at death threats, don't think the death of the head would actually change anything, aren't putting fake wanted posters of CEO's around New York City in order to incur unrest, and/or don't ignore that all forms of insurance (be it cheap, expensive, free, or systems that have no health insurance system) have their pros and cons.

Because Adam Lanza surely looks identical to Osama Bin Laden apparently.
Relatively-speaking. Not saying I see the resemblance (between the two of them), though many do seem to look a lot more like each other than others, to the point where some people get a subculture vibe (which would have been more or less what it is currently if the Luigi situation still being looked into wasn't inconsistent and overblown). Should note I'm referring to those in a certain age range here.

Gavrilo Princip and Charles Manson were out there in the world, fucking. Their offspring crossed paths at one point, and interbred, like murderous Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals.
