Why do so many deathfats have tiny dogs?

I've seen just about every episode of My 600 lb Life. And so many landblobs own teeny doggos. Sometimes in multiples. Amy Slaton had one too (RIP Little Bit). In fact, the whole Slaton family doublewide was filled to the brim with little yapping chihuahuas. Hamber has that poor little overweight dog that looks ready to pop any minute.

Is it because they take up less room, can fit in your lap and are perceived as being easier to take care of? Although that's not always the case as many small dog breeds get tooth problems and can easily become obese themselves. Chihuahuas and many other small breeds have a lot of energy and fatties sure as hell can't run around with them. So they just eat table scraps and lounge on gut rolls until they are fat and unhealthy.

I'm surprised Little Bit always looked so healthy. But it seems like she was the only pet Amy ever succeeded in taking good care of.

Every time I see some 700 elbeez sauropod on TV with a three lb dog I wonder how the poor thing hasn't been squashed yet.

They lack the patience and impulse control to raise kids and they would miscarry if they got pregnant because of their fucked up bodies so they have little yappy dogs as "fur babies" instead
