Why do some here not like shortfatotaku?

So i discovered this site a couple days ago. I regret it.
I started looking up youtubers I watch. None are on here except philosophy tube, which was an eye opener.
However I found many adjacent youtubers or those that associate with ones I watch. Namely shortfatotaku.

I searched his name and a few things came up, 20% were positive, 30% were neutral, and 50% were negative. I was curious as to why he had a negative slant? I watched a lot of his videos and he is pretty grounded, he associates with colorful characters but that's about it. He is about the only true moderate I have come across personally; next to maybe "knowing better". The only time I saw him give a legit bad take was when he droned on about climate change. Boiling it down to "It might suck, but canada might get a boon eh?"

So, is the negativity due to his association with lolcows/colorful characters? Or has he had more bad takes than I realized?

I haven't watched digibro in years but i did notice him rebranding multiple times a year. Little did I know how fucking whack that whole thing is. Bad takes on politics, another leaf who spends his time worrying about burgerland, degenerate coomer, likes trannies, ect.

I think his takes are leveled enough, though the climate change one made him seem dumb, but everyone sounds dumb if they talk enough. Any examples of other bad takes?
I do find it funny a canadian obsesses over U.S news, but canada is our direct neighbor, and similar in culture so I find it more of a simple laugh than issue. From the brief time lurking a few hours straight...idk man, calling people degenerates and coomers here is uh...yaaaa. Likes trannies, ya, he is very self aware though. Anyone who talks about politics and can laugh at themselves are A okay in my book.

I watch a handful, I think it would be more fun to just list my subscriptions in a big list rather than rank them in any way.

Well if you know a way to view your subscriptions as a simple text doc, I will happily share it. To give at least an idea. I mostly watch political/talking heads as well as a video essay people. The rest are for funzies. Some minor educational, then one or two anime tubers. I would actually like to post the whole sub list and have this place tear it apart, since I don't feel like searching each ones name on here, so posting a simple list and have someone go "OHHH MY GAAAAWWWD YOU SUBBED TO HIM? You know he fucked his sister right?" would be pretty crazy. Like I said, I enjoyed reading about philosophy tube being a shitty person in disguise. Not to mention the digibro rabbit hole. Rabbit holes are a helluva drug.

Also, I don't really care about e-celeb stuff unless its from people I personally watch or enjoy. Chris chan and sonichu and all that, eh. Its like a one night stand. Or passionless sex. Or watching someone I don't know die from a distance. Its just hollow. I have heard of things like chris chan and sonichu but I just find it sad rather than funny.

Also it was definately more like 6-7 hours of pure reading. Granted I "skimmed" with the search function to find mentions of those that mattered on the topics with 1k+ pages, but still. I would say more than a couple hours. It was at LEAST a few.

LMFAO, are the people here at least self aware? I didn't get the impression this was full of self deprecating weebs but you make it sound like it is. I got a slight impression of this but didn't want to assume.
The expanse is a scifi TV show based around a set of books. Think game of thrones (a good book series based in fantasy that got its own tv show), except scifi. I saw it briefly at the similar threads section floating below this reply box, thought I would throw it in there since I legit just don't watch much anime and felt like adding something funny while also counting as an alternative. Its on amazon, or just find it on any "streaming" site. Its only 4 seasons? And the next season should be the "last" one, but that's a whole can of worms. So its easy to binge.
