Why does everybody on kf hate rap music?

It's trash because a lot of the stuff popular enough to be well-known is a psy-op. What we know as "black culture" was literally created to turn them into a trashy demographic that can be coerced into voting/supporting particular things by being giving extra favor on account of how racist everyone is. It promotes the worst of the worst behaviors like pimping and shiet because they want people to debase themselves and be distracted by glamorizing criminal/hood life. Rate autistic please.

I don’t really care for most modern rap but things like Motown, bebop jazz, blacksplotation and funk / disco are actually great genera’s. I like those because a lot of the songs actually have variety and meaning. A lot of the more mainstream kind of sounds like it’s set up in a way where you have your average trap beat, that ear rape bass noise that rumbles your car and then one distinctive sound or cord progression that plays on loop throughout the song. A lot of it feels uninspired and not interesting. There are exceptions but I find this being the most mainstream.

I grew on the shit but kinda had to because I lived in Da Cali hood frfr. Then a friend handed me a Black Sabbath album. It's was Jover and my mind was open to what was really out there. latter on I was one of the first in my friends group to discover Daftpunk when everyone was listening to classic blues and 80's Punk in the late 90's. I've mostly been into that (House/Edm/techo-ect) and the indie's ever since. That side of music is still evolving. Been into Japanese beats since 2000's because I was finally able to get good localized Anime (cringe I know but It's 80-90's only) Gaming sound tracks started to really become pro during PS1 era. (See Wipeout franchise) The Last Rap Album I bought was Chronic 2001. There were a few one hitters and Nas was alright but it legit makes you stupid and parcel is why. This is one I thought about as a Boss Man Jack's anthem when he got got

I like Dr. Octagon because he's making up all the stuff about being a time-traveling alien gynecologist, so it's not like I have to look up a half dozen regional slang terms in order to "get" a song.

Reactions: Huh what?
I like DMX, with his growly vocals, and how he comes on most of his tracks sounding like someone's slightly confused, complaining, angry dad, about to give them a bollocking.

"Now I gotta deal with this shit... What? Aw, shit. What the fuck? Are they serious?! Motherfucker. This shit right here, son? This shit right here? OH MY GOD!!"

I don't. I hate rap post 2010 or so but that's because it's just mumble rap and repetitive beats that niggers actually love.

Otherwise I love rap.

I don't hate rap, but it's gotten largely shit since the 2000s. The sort of rap I love can be characterized by the rapper taking the piss out of someone or something. To me, good rap is the musical art of talking shit - sort of like a limerick. MCJarbo's entire catalogue is a great example of this. Some non MCJarbo examples are: DMX's Where the Hood at?, Mr. Bigz's Hype Boys, Skandaali's Tää on Räppi. How can one mock and insult someone in the deepest, wittiest and rhymthic way possible? Quality answers to that make quality raps.

Speaking of MCJarbo, this is easily my favorite rap of his. The first two minutes is just a constant stream of fire.
