Hate to break it to you OP but they don't want to genocide you because your gay, they want to genocide you because your an anime avatar. This is the reason they are calling you gay and want to kill you.

- Palestine
- Israel
- a bunch of shithole African countries
- Random pro-vax message
- Something pro-abortion related
- anime

Personally I'm critical of how corporations, for the last several years, have been using Pride for cheap PR. But that's part of a broad and insidious trend. The bad guys here are not gay people, it's the corporate kleptocracy, as usual.
Young peoples' rebellious impulses are being channeled into sideshow battles over divisive issues of identity, sexuality and race. The media is saturated with these topics because it's beneficial to the entrenched-wealth class that owns the media outlets. People flipping burgers should be angry that the top officers of the company get paid more in a week than the worker will make in a year. The thing that would actually improve peoples' lives would be a more equitable distribution of income. But while that conversation still exists on the left, it is largely drowned out by these identity-politics issues. Keep the kids tilting at windmills so they don't get around to eating the rich.
It's tough to push back on any of this right now though. If you point out that holding sensitivity seminars, and seeking diversity in hiring, are not concrete ways to improve peoples' lives like fucking paying them more would be, they can just hide behind the pride flag and call you a homophobe.
