There's the comeuppance aspect, the idea that you'll really only get hit in the balls if you were doing something to invite it on yourself and any pain you experience is just desserts for your hubris. There's also the juxtaposition of a normally large, powerful man being reduced to a weeping wreck puking on the floor in pain. Getting kicked in the cunt doesn't cause the same pain because ovaries don't have to flap in the breeze by design, but even if it did it wouldn't be as funny because she's smaller and less expected to stand and fight.

It depends on the situation, and the type of people we're talking about here (the observants).

A classic example would be a video of someone getting hit in the groin because they were doing something stupid, a bunch of people would find it funny as long as the setting is not too serious. In this case, I'd find it equally funny (albeit not much to begin with) regardless of what sex the person has.
Someone getting battered to near death in a street fight, or as a result of bullying (completely different from before), I cannot see it as amusing at all.

Now that there's a distinction on the setting this happens, how often do you see girls vs guys getting hit there in a "comedic" (let's call it that) way? I tend to see more when it happens to guys, the little times when it happens to girls that I see, it's usually in a more serious setting, but this is just anecdotal from my experience.

There's also the general conditioning of some people reacting to violence on females as more aggravating, regardless, specially if perpetrated by a male. How often have you heard "do not hit women" instead of "do not hit people" or anyone innocent that deserves empathy? One is often taken more seriously barring exceptions. People I know will react differently if a person from one sex is slapped across the face as opposed to the other because of this conditioning, again anecdotal.

The obvious factor, because it tends to be more painful when it happens to males. Dark humor and that which is based on the misfortune of others is well known, so as you'd expect a lot will enjoy more when the guy is on the floor because the ball bounced on the wall and hit him, rather than when it happens to the girl because it's not as dramatic.

Then you have straight up double standards because of bias formed by personal experience (like being more empathetic to girls like me because my ex left me, so I understand their "pain", therefore fuck that guy / I don't care as much):

Never change men, a lot of you are Darwinism in action, but it makes for something to giggle at. Particularly teenage boys, it amazes me that half my male friends ever made it to 20 with all limbs working etc.
