The United States constitution was revolutionary. A lot of countries copied aspects of it. The right to talk shit about your leaders without getting thrown in prison. The right to have whatever religious beliefs you wanted without getting executed as a heratic. The right to own weapons to defend yourself.

These were not universal human rights, and in some countries there are still not.

Hence land of the free.

(I will not get into autistic fights about how those rights have eroded, I am talking about how most countries do not have them in any form)
