Why I view past decades with a sour taste. - Particularly ones after World War I.

I want to keep this short but I know tons of people who often glorify the decades such as 70s, 80s and 90s and compare it to supposedly inferior decades such as the 2010s and 2020s. I would agree that music and some other entertainment things are pretty nostalgic, if not nostalgic for the supposed stability in western civilization. But they all overlook the Intervention in South America, how nearly every country outside the western world in the 1980s being hell and basically the elephant in the room which is Globalists having a stronghold on the entire world with United Nations. Said decades nostalgiatards glorify is actually an extremely dark blissful time where people are completely unaware their government was waging psychological warfare on them. Despite how batshit insane the 2020s. I feel it's brighter than the previous decades mainly due to the fact that blissful bubble is bursting and everything becomes clear and the globalists kikes are losing their stronghold so they set their psychological warfare machine at full force. Don't get me wrong. The 2010s and 2020s had a shit ton of mass produced, shitty and faggotry material being shoved into our faces but this bullshit being soundly rejected is so beautiful. The 1970s was awful, the 1980s were horrendous and the 1990s was mediocre. In my opinion, the only good decade in the 20th century is the very first one (1900s) and the absolute worst decade is the 1940s because it turns out Germans so heavily devoted to an autistic leader don't question the kikes who capture their country. The time after I like to refer to as the 80 years of hell I am fairly optimistic we'd get out of.

First of all: paragraphs are your friends.

Second: pop culture basically froze around the end of the aughts. 9/11, GWOT, and Great Recession fucked with a lot of people's minds, so they have retreated to nostalgia.

Third: you're correct that Clown World has always been here. A lot has been concealed to the commoners. But the advent of the Internet, and especially Web 2.0, has caused the scales to fall from many people's eyes. Couple this with the aforementioned crises, and a lot of things once hidden are coming to light.

Rejoice that we now have the means to circumvent the official narratives.

First of all: you're a zoomer faggot

9/11 buck-broke the US populace, the overreach of government power had to be normalized so the feds could keep the level of control they became accustomed to. When the (((banks))) lost everyone's money in 2008, and people said "hey maybe it's their goddamn fault we can't pay rent", those with political and economic power propped up gay nigger bullshit from universities to divide the lower classes and keep themselves enriched and in power. Now, pharma companies harvest billions from US taxpayers, and every new tranny is a lifelong medical customer. This isn't some 100-year semitic plot to make your life worse, you can game theory it all out and see how progressive bullshit is an incredibly useful tool for cucking normies to buy your shit and/or vote for you.

The difference is that from the 2010s until now, people have been chimping out over what "the problem" is. We ran the gauntlet of athiests blaming old dinosaur religion for the woes of society, people blaming capitalists (whatever that means), edgy jokes, SJWs, white supremacy, you name it. By the mid-90s people started saying "maybe the so-called Satanic Panic is just a bunch of histrionic faggots complaining about nothing", and things were basically fine until ironically those same people would be instrumental in the genesis of a new "white supremacy panic" (better rhyming name pending).

The 90s were all skateboards and Tang, the 2000's were the birth of original content and real adoption of the information superhighway. It was largely accepted that divisive bullshit didn't have to matter, that you could just not care if your friend was gay or black or whatever, as long as they weren't being a faggot or a nigger about it. There was a powerful spirit of irreverence at work, the same kind that animates places like the Farms, that said it was cool and based to not give a shit about what people said you had to care about. No amount of "ackshully the j00z were plotting in the background to take it all away" negates any of that.

None of your favorite video games were made after 2010.

OP is a nigger and the 90s/2000s are kino; no amount of "ackshully," will convince me that the 2010s/2020s were good. Admittedly, the 2000s were not that great considering it was the start of things to come beginning with 9/11 and other events already mentioned, but it was culturally amazing and a fun time.

If only I had a fucking time machine so I could escape this sad, boring dystopia we're leaning into. The things I would do for one...

Things have always been the same in regards to human behavior. The world makes much more sense once you learn to parse the static from the dynamic and your life has more clarity when you focus on the things that have roots.

I'm tempted to go into a whole spergy diatribe but I'll keep it brief and say that everyone should try to zoom out and try to understand the macroscopic without letting their microscopic perspective blur things. Things aren't nearly as different today from how they were yesterday to the degree that people think.

Do the ghosts of past illusory things deserve your consideration?

OP is a zoomer faggot. As someone who as actually been alive since before X-Box 360 came out, I can say--

The 80's were a lot of fun.
The 90's were pretty ok.
The 2000's were a lot of fun (the internet was at it's best and Adult Swim was great).
The 2010's were still fun for a few years but went south somewhere around 2013.
The 2020's have been dogshit. Although there has been some pretty funny shit so far this year, so who knows...

I know for a fact this renaissance facade isn't limited to today. If anything. Christians still hold parts of Europe which was never the case at most of the later half of the 1st millennium. But I do know globalists of today bawww at the fact Christians fought back against the Muslims to reclaim the holy land at the end of it. So if 1945 to now is bad. Just remember we always had something like this but much worse. This isn't a gayop to make people embrace modernity. I'd gladly take the 1983 Scarface over the 2030 politically correct Scarface where people fight with dildos any day.

I can write essays amongst essays on hating all the dogshit Disney produces. I love all the amazing things from the 1950s to the 2000s however It was a boiling frog test. We now realized our heroes are massive faggots who sacrifice children. So I actually hate the vulgarity of modernity much more than a lot of other people.

Nostalgia is actually a powerful tool in a situation like this which explains why Disnigger keeps remaking them with shitty live action remakes. If the 2010s sucked so much, it's basically because that bubble has finally burst under the demand of nostalgia along with other economic factors (Great Recession). Nostalgia is a childish mentality of a time of bread and circuses.

No things were definitely objectively better pre 2012 or so at least as far as general society goes. Other posters have sperged out far better reasons above than I can be bothered with. So, I'll just say, must really suck never getting to experience living in a non pozzed faggy clown world to write that much rambling poorly formatted cope.

Don't worry. My parents compensated my childhood with a Gamecube. So yeah, everything was much better back then so I know what it's like growing up during these times. I just grew up way too quickly. If only I grew up fast enough to tell the masses that this will be the best Nascar game for the rest of time.

Retarded zoomers are realizing they have been cheated out of a renaissance and responded by growing some brain cells but I've realized we've been cheated out of a renaissance for decades. You wonder why we all sabotaged this horrifying gender non binary demented excuse of a bison name Fred. Fred had it coming for being a faggot. So yeah. Fuck the modern movies filled with gay shit. We look at these relics of the Late 20th century for such a good reason because it helped us escape our horrifying reality.

Uhh acktually you need to compare the world now to how it was back in 5000 BC to see how much better we have it now and learn to be grateful you peasant
The age of modernity lasted a mere century. That's nothing compared to the Islamic stronghold on Europe in the late 1st millennium. This lasted for a mere 4 centuries. And no, I'm not oblivious to the people in Babylon who complain about faggots running the city. Otherwise there wouldn't be a Tower of Babel.

Actually, this is something that gets blamed on nostalgia which I will never understand.

Like, if I want to indulge nostalgia for Disney's the Little Mermaid, why would I ever want to watch a shitty remake that is nothing like it, when the original has been on VHS and DVD for decades now? You can't get warm fuzzy feels from something that wasn't even around back then.

My own pet theory has always been that shitty remakes are themselves a psyop to convince people that the past akshually sucked so they'd be more willing to accept modern trash and lower their standards. Any other way of looking at it is just an ass-backwards comforting lie.

You would go to sleep crying crocodile tears every night if we were in the 1900s. You would die from things that today are not even a blip on your radar because of modern medicine. You would most probably not have running clean water and proper sanitation. You would live in some crowded shithole in a polluted industrial city - IF YOU WERE LUCKY to be born a Westoid. If you were born where I live, you'd be peasant bound to the land and would die horribly in revolts against the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
You would not have your precious anime to jerk off. You would not be poasting here or anywhere. You'd work to exhaustion every day. Your life would be worthless for anyone. No smartphone, no Internet to moan about how you were banned and how horrible that was.
I swear to God most of you people are lacking the most elementary levels of self-awareness.

The actual sensible position is to compare current year to 1990s-2000s but most people on the internet are retarded so everyone either wants to go back to pre-women's suffrage or think you should never complain about anything because you have it better than some peasant in 300 AD.

I have to agree with what @AgendaPoster said.

When I say I want to go back to the 1990s, that's at least a decade I actually fucking lived through and experienced first hand.

But when I see people idolizing really long-ago decades.... my only thought is those people are basically imagining some fantasy, because let's face it... nobody on KF is over 40. So people idolizing the 1940s or earlier just saw some old movie and got it in their heads somehow that life was better back then, effectively no different than weebs who see a few anime and think Japan must be an awesome place where they have both oars in the water (and the few who actually move to Japan wind up being miserable there).

Don't go all Don Quixote, don't idealize a time or place you don't have actual first-hand experience with.

I think that this obvious mismatch between the "retvrn to tradition" dudes and their clear addiction to modernity's tools and technologies is because they are overlapping and confusing "social progress" with technological progress. They have bought into this wholesale image of old=good, new=bad, but if you dig deeper into the whys, it's nearly always because of social problems, not technology itself. It is a good discussion to have about how technological progress is influencing social norms and culture, but a smart reactionary/right winger type that is desperate for a return to a more palatable past for their social beliefs would necessarily embrace technology as a tool in a social conflict that they will have to wield properly if they desire to win.
This is really an instance where you should pick&choose. What pisses you off about modernity? Is it the fags? Pride month? Blacks being given too much attention? Women being too empowered for your taste? Sit down, chill your anger, and think it through, isolate what pisses you off, and even list it down so you don't get lost into irrelevant battles over things that most people will consider you a lunatic for. Obviously nearly nobody want to get back to a life before vacuum cleaners, refrigerators and so much more. Imagine returning to the mentioned 1900s, before planes and without actual cars. There were not even military tanks yet. No nuclear power. Every routine in your life would be dismantled by going back these 120 years. No easily accessible movies, nor music, no portable devices, no easy communications, life typically short&brutal.
Just focus on the social side, and let tech be tech, and learn to appreciate the technological progress, while generally not accepting that a RTX 4090 and ChatGPT imply that you can also choose your gender, or that gender even exists at all.
And if the tech progress is making you fat&lazy, gtfo and work out, and keep in shape.
