That's why building sector here is a joke. The amount of overtaxing and money laundering that goes into these projects is not unheard of.

In 1998 a residential building that partly collapsed killed eight people in Rio de Janeiro. Faulty pillars were the cause. The chief engineer had his license revoked but wasn't arrested and victims' relatives weren't paid any kind of indemnity.
