Why is everyone so mad all the time?

Don't want to powerlevel but I just got banned from a streamer's chat, I supported him with a sub for 3+ years, in chat we were talking about something pretty normal and he just flipped out, called me a bunch of names and banned me. I am genuinely confused as to what happened.

This is not some gay emotional support thread, I'll move on with my life and this isn't a big deal, just curious why it seems like everyone is on edge literally all the time now. Also might not even be a real thing and my perception is biased by an outlier event. I'm open to that possibility as well.

Streamers are all entitled faggot who love to force their viewers to walk on eggshells 24/7 when they're in their chat, so it isn't surprising that it happened to you

Its easy to feel miserable on the internet.
Imagine enjoying your day and having a fun time, yet someone who isn't starts sperging out and impulsively brings the mood of your day down for no clear reason.
You can stop thinking about it, but our brains are hardwired to see our fellow man in distress and inquire to find out what's going on, ignoring such signals is unhealthy cope when we are more interested in conflict resolution (same with caring too much about other people)

Tldr; People just have shit days or can't deal with confrontations

Give us at least some context about what the discussion was all about. Genuinely interested.

I've had the exact same question pop up in my head sometimes. It does seem like a lot of people think everyone's out to get them, and while it's not completely a "sign of the times" (people have always been like that to a degree) I think it's gotten worse in recent years, especially politically.

It’s because everything, everywhere, all the time is political. You can’t exist without your political affiliation being known to everyone at all times. Then when you don’t hold the exact same views as the person you’re interacting with it turns into a big argument. It’s honestly exhausting because even non-political stuff immediately turns political.
