People, boomers mainly, throw a fit anytime they hear kids learn about anything remotely related to LGBT matters.
But, unsure about the USA (I learned from Superintended Chalmers praying in public schools is frowned upon despite the US being religious) but in Britain at least, primary schools have forced Christian prayers*. That's right, attend a primary school in Britain and it will be assumed you are Christian and have to pray every day and listen to religious crap at assemblies etc like I had to even though I'm atheist. What's worse is you aren't learning about Christianity they are actually making you practice it. The Gov justifies this by saying it's possible to opt out, but this is kept quiet and realistically it wouldn't be practical as Christianity is built so heavily into the curriculum.
*This doesn't happen anymore in schools in cities that have multi-culturism, but it still happens in schools in small towns and up in Scotland (which is 99.9% white or ginger and lacks diversity).
So the point is why is being forced into being a Christian and having Christianity being shoved down your throat any better than learning about LGBT matters?
Is it time to stop forcing schoolkids to pray? Ireland is still a hellhole Christian country but in Britain it's only old people who actually go to church by choice anymore. Many churches are now being repurposed into other things here like restaurants and markets because noone uses them for their original purpose anymore.
