why is it that 75% of you faggots that make these threads are unfunny

As one of the mods for PG... 75% is generous. It's like 90/10.

I'll run through some of my own takes on what's happening so people know what's up.

1. A lot of the subject matter is worth writing about, but one problem is that it's mostly newer users (like people who's accounts are <1 week old) who are writing threads. There's a few people recently that have written threads that generally exceed expectation (@HiramTheGrift @Hamplanet Fitness & 01, who's @ I can't remember) but almost every other time, it's either unreadable or just not interesting due to lack of info.

It sucks. I'd love to push more threads out of PG but when people only write 3 lines, have no pics / videos, and a shit ton of links that aren't even archived, we can't work with that. We do want to help you (and will if you show that you're pulling your own weight first) but mods will not waste their time on something that was shit out in 5 min.

2. I feel like KF has gone from " look at this person and laugh " to " look at this horror show and doom scroll "
This problem is especially hard hitting in Animal Control after the Zoosadist leaks but I see Lolcow and BP also suffering from similar issues. It's difficult to fight against it when a good chunk of the well-written threads sent to PG are exactly in that camp. We can't just not push it out, especially when the thread is doing well.

3. (I think this is something that even Null has said) When there are people who consistently write good threads, they often get recruited into being a mod. As soon as that happens, they stop writing threads like 99% of the time. It's a little difficult to keep up with your own projects, IRL shit, & mod duties all at once.

4. It's just Burning Fanatic & myself as PG mods. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the work load is all that heavy, but when both of us are out, it's up to Ride, the other admins, or Null to approve threads. We do our best to make sure everyone's aware when we'll be AFK so it's not really that big of an issue. BF just made a thread for PG where anyone can ask for a review of a thread (old, new, & even ones that aren't their own) in order to help keep people up-to-date on what needs to be done. I might make a master list at some point to have BF amend in that thread OP of ones that I think would be good if people would like to pick them up & re-write them.

TL;DR: If you want funny, start writing & put some back into it. If you go 90%, mods will go the other 10 to make sure your thread gets out. We're not going to write the thread for you, but we will make sure that formatting, spelling, & archives hold up.
