While it's considered a ''joke'' of a country and many here might laugh this off as ''niggers being niggers''. it's pretty unbelievable that the media is totally ignoring all of this. Wow they are fucking hypocrite's. Look at this shit. The country has gone from a shit hole to literal hell and there is absolute chaos. Media's reaction globally is just nothing.

Because their problems don't serve any agenda nor are they particularly capable of spinning the massive refugee problem as sympathetic.
Hispaniola is a living example of the results of putting certain demographics in charge of society. I have never met anyone who hated Africans as much as a Dominican.

I went down there with the military for the big earthquake like 10 years ago. They are fucking helpless.

Six months after the earthquake they left bodies in the street rotting. I saw one fucking person actually cleaning up — after six fucking months. They had calls of looting and the police showed up and killed everyone on the street, including the shopkeeper who called it in. I saw pictures a few months ago and they are living the same tent cities i helped setup a decade ago.

They are fucking lazy, dumb, and corrupt.

It’s basically Africa in the Caribbean

Haiti being a shithole is just a fact of life and has been since it liberated itself, if there was something to cover that wasn't simply 'lol, Haitians' I'm sure there'd be more buzz. I do recall hearing stories and a few mentions of its state on a radio program while driving but it was more of the same. 'Shit sucks, government of Haiti can't do shit, oopsie poopsie'.

Same reason why heavy coverage of all the shit in Ethiopia isn't a thing. Not much to say that isn't just tallying the dead and which places got absolutely skull-fucked.

All they need to do is find some oil, then the world (USA) will care about the humanitarian disaster.

Simple. Haiti's a lost cause. It's a country filled with corruption, and not a single person within the country is willing to do anything about it. When the international community does try to come in and help Haiti, said help is squandered and wasted. When said international community builds something in Haiti, it is left to ruin and isn't maintained even the slightest. It's not geographical, cause the Dominican republic is on the exact same island, and is far better off. Culturally Haiti is a fucking hellscape of idiocy and superstition. It is not worth it to help the country cause they merely don't do anything.
