To "fix" Haiti would imply there was ever anything of value there to begin with, Haiti has never been a stable country since it's independence and all we're seeing is the continued existence of a failed state. While I don't think they should get a free pass, unlike Mexicans in the US or Syrians, Libyans, etc. in Europe there was never a nice place they lived in to begin with.
