Actually yes, apparently any sort from small hard seed that you normally wouldn't be able to squeeze oil from is not healthy for you, and they use chemicals to extract the oil. So oils like rapeseed (Canola) and corn are not healthy while oils that can be expeller pressed like olive, avocado, coconut, sunflower etc. are healthy.

Protip: Avoid any olive oil that was imported from Italy. Tests have been done on Italian import brands that have shown them all to be cut with Canola. Apparently the Italian mafia has their hands in the olive oil trade there and like to spread out the supply that way. Olive oils from California usually tested pure, however.

It's not that they're inherently bad so much; we simply haven't evolved biochemical pathways to safely eat them in such quantities. Though the industrial agricultural methods needed to make them at scale will eventually turn our farmlands into deserts, so that's another reason not to use them (that will be ignored).

If people were eating it 1000 years ago, and had been for several thousand years before that, it's probably safe for you.
