Why is reddit so gay? I don't understand the thing. I went through it a few times recently but mein Gott, they really are meme.
How does this happen?
Am I on the wrong side of history(tm)(c)?
Reddit thread.

Because quantitative feedback (upvotes) trends toward lowest common denominator. The discourse that is promoted/rewarded is the discourse that appeals to the most people, and most people are not knowledgeable of most topics. It is the peak of the bell curve, the pinnacle of mediocrity.
Thank you for the answer, i find it reinforced my view of the website thus i have upvoted it.

It's so filled with feminazis, gave me the impression that I was in Gorl Tawk for a second.

And oh, they absolutely hate Trump in very popular subreddits, to the point where it's comical. Thinking their shitty jokes are original in any capacity, and feeling proud of their Karma! :story:
I quite enjoy the amount of 'Christians don't act christian like' comments and not finding a single instance about Islam. It's so weird.

Who uses Reddit for anything other than porn? It's like articles in Playboy Magazine, honestly.

If you want a good forum, just go niche.

Anything with out focus turns to shit.

Why would you do this? Do you not have enough with actual pornsites?

I guess in Reddit you could make some Internet friends, but you have to be careful of course. Like I know there are some subreddits for like penpals! I've never done it, but maybe you can actually make a friend, you know, outside your already established circle if you have one IRL.

Isn't that what Discord was for?
I feel like in Discord it's more difficult, because for one you have to enter the "right" server, and one that is not weird or is mostly inactive.

In Reddit you can see posts of people and how active is that subreddit without having to join anything. And in their post, you already can see their (alleged) intentions. But again, I have not tried that, I just know the subreddit exists.

Reactions: Axiom.
I remember using a game subreddit back in the day and the dev dicksucking was off the charts. I think they talked about implementing "weather/season systems" into the game and how that feature would be part of a DLC. To me that sounded retarded, to everyone else, apparently, that is logical and how things should be. Amazing.
