Why is s.t.a.l.k.e.r. 4 called s.t.a.l.k.e.r 2 - Who gives a shit about nfts this is the real fucking problem

Solution
If it's a serious question, here's a serious answer. There was never "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2", the two other games are more like standalone addons, they all reuse a good chunk of assets from the original and are built upon the same technical foundation.
There was an upcoming "s.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2" when gsc gameworld still existed so that's why they're using that name.
Also it's easier to discern order with numbers instead of random subtitles.

Because there is only one game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. It is called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and it was released in 2007.

Contrary to popular belief, there is not a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in development. Such a game made today would be a flimsy, hollow imitation of the original game and not worth anyone's time or money.
