Non-engagement is about the best you can hope. If you try to argue the case, you get called a pedo defender and they just repeat the statement and double-down on the accusation because there's basically nothing you can do or say against the accusation that'll really win the argument. You prove the other side of it, simply don't respond and they can't really continue pushing it but it leaves with the accuser with a sense of self-validation in proving their point in their own mind because of presumed non-verbal acceptance.
