As others have pointed out, this is false equivalence. Alot of claims made by religion are in the category of "cannot prove nor disprove" eg the soul, God, miracles, and so forth. That doesn't mean it's false, it means scientific tools & methods simply don't apply to it. Materialism, the idea that only stuff we can observe or measure exists, and nothing exists beyond that, is a very narrow-minded way of understanding the world. The correct position is to consider religious/spiritual concepts as a possibility, as long as they don't conflict with our tangible knowledge.
That last point is why the troon brigade is unlike major religions. They make a direct, falsifiable claim about biology and reality as we know it -- that it's possible for a mammal/primate to switch between male & female, and decouple gender from its biological foundations. This is obviously a falsehood, and there's a mountain of evidence and common sense to prove it wrong. That's not to say there aren't ambiguities or outliers in gender, there are, eg hermaphrodites, eunuchs, etc. But you can't argue from there to invalidate the dichotomy that accurately describes at least 99% of us physically, mentally, and genetically. Yet, that's exactly what the troons attempt to do; they ignore the rule in favor of the exceptions, and even the exceptions don't fully support their case.
