Why Men Need to Learn and Practice Feminism

For men, the unspoken guidelines are to “be tough,” “be hard,” and, if necessary, “use violence.” On playgrounds, sports fields, and in the classroom, men had already internalized the notion that “boys don’t cry,” “don’t be weak,” and “don’t act like a female.”

The Women, Business, and the Law 2022 report from the World Bank says that about 2.4 billion women of working age don’t have the same economic opportunities as men, and 178 countries have laws that stop them from fully participating in the economy. The situation is still horrible for women. To achieve the ultimate goal of equality, the integrated vision transforms the power hierarchy into creative power.

On the other hand, feminists must acknowledge that excluding men from the discussion of gender and feminism risks weakening the movement’s fundamentals. Both society and feminists should refrain from labeling men who practice feminism as “stigmas,” “delusions,” “effeminate,” or “feminine.”

Our social structures’ patriarchal virus can be cured by incorporating feminist politics. Men’s exclusion from feminist politics can frequently imply power over others rather than power through others. Feminism is a free universal solidarity to find justice in the socio-cultural, economic, and political affairs; it is not a call for unwelcome chaos, nor should it be a difficult process for men to participate in.

In contrast, feminist men who support equality do not automatically become feminists. Although they may strive for gender equality, social inequality will always exist.

It necessitates a determination to wage war against patriarchy, sexism, and oppression along other oppression-related fronts, such as caste, sexuality, conflict, etc. Their feminist identity shouldn’t conflict with their political and personal actions, and it shouldn’t serve as a fig leaf for their internalized stigmas, prejudices, and gender stereotypes.

Why Should Men Adopt Feminism?

First, take a quick look around. Men can feel confined by the way masculinity and gender roles are taught in places like military training, playgrounds, or even home, where solidity is the signal to start being tough, violent, etc.

Many boys and men want to get rid of these rules about how men and women should act. Feminism is the framework that will free them from the strict rules that have been put on them in every part of life.

Second, men’s participation in the battle for justice in intimate partner violence and rape cases is important because they may take a stand against such violent acts against women.

Thirdly, despite having no interest in games since childhood, many men are pressured to indulge, which entails conforming to social expectations. If they don’t, they are classified as either “gay” or “mentally unfit.” Additionally, they don’t have any positive family, educational, religious, or other experiences. As a result, sex-role stereotyping is harmful to people of all genders.

In a patriarchal society, men face similar oppression and disadvantages and are expected to act in certain ways, whether on purpose or by accident. The best way to comprehend these persistent problems and make attempts at potential solutions is through feminism.

Recognize The Challenges Faced By Women

The first wave of feminism emerged from an atmosphere of liberal, socialist politics and urban industrialism in the late 19th and early 20th century, with the first women’s rights convention held in 1848.

The purpose of this wave was to provide possibilities for women, with a particular emphasis on suffrage. Since then, women have been struggling for equality in one way or the other. They have come really far, but to make things better, it’s not just women who should be fighting.

Studying women’s and gender studies will give you a chance to investigate the experiences of women. You will study gender issues in your classes from a variety of perspectives and in various domestic and international contexts.

You could also look into feminist theory, women’s health, politics, and women in literature and history. You’ll frequently also study how gender, race, sexuality, and class intersect. You’ll examine how gender is socially constructed and how it affects men’s and women’s lives.

Most majors in women’s and gender studies give you a chance to question received wisdom. History, literature, and other academic fields can all be reexamined from a feminist and/or queer perspective. You can develop critical thinking abilities while pursuing this major, which will help you get ready for both the workplace and future citizenship.

Be An Agent Of Change

In 2022, 68.1% of the world’s gender gap has been closed. At the rate things are going now, it will take 132 years to get to full parity. Learning more about gender studies and actively participating in feminism can be your contribution to narrowing this gap.

Additionally, a major in women’s and gender studies can benefit your community by enhancing your knowledge and skills. You will gain knowledge from your studies about the methods for addressing social injustices in order to achieve racial and gender equality.

The #MeToo and Time’s Up movements have brought attention to how urgent it is to address systemic examples of patriarchy, misogyny, and sexism that exist in every part of society. It has been more than a decade since these terms were coined, and yet, the struggles of women remain the same.

One of the many debates that have been sparked by these current movements is one that addresses men’s contributions to gender equality. In a phallogocentric culture, men are given unjustified privileges that come with being a man.

This reality alone makes males accountable for the institutional and discursive structures that grant them unwarranted power at the expense of specific relationship costs that must be incurred by women and, consequently, the feminine.

You can mentor those around you and impart your knowledge of gender issues, whether it be in the workplace or your personal life. It is hoped that by better understanding how gender affects people’s daily lives, attitudes and behavior will change.

In conclusion, if you are interested in gender and women’s issues, this major might be right for you. Understanding how gender affects society can help you influence the environment in which you live.

Anytime I hear these articles trying to convince men to become feminists, I always remember a story Gavin McInnes told. He recalled when he was in the punk scene in Canada he would see the feminist chicks come out and say their piece about how men are evil bad rapists, then they'd hop on the back of the motorcycles with the big hunky dudes that would probably cave in your skull if you told them to check their privilege.

If you’re a man you can’t experience being a woman anyway.
I wish more people would understand this, and that it works both ways.

The woman who made an honest attempt to live as a man for a year? Who actually did time in the trenches and as far as I can tell was as open-minded and honest about it and what she learned? She STILL came to the wrong conclusions in the end vis-a-vis "maleness" or masculinity or whatever you want to call it.

At the end of it all, she concluded men hated having to be men and that everything they did that marked them as "men" was something that stressed them out and they wished they had the power to just opt out of thinking/feeling like men ...... and it was just categorically wrong, all the way down. Being a woman, she was unhappy as a man, and concluded natal men must feel the same way.

Because all that time she was pretending? She was still seeing things through her own mind. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make her female brain think like a male one and that's why she didn't like it and wanted out. And why she felt that if it was awful for her, it must be even WORSE for those who can't just drop the charade. And she was 100% wrong.

She could never truly UNDERSTAND certain things that go on in man's brain because she isn't a man.

And even the best and most dedicated forms of mimicry can't put a man's brain where she had a female one. Or, 20 to 30 years of being treated like a man, expected to behave as a man, and having to make "male" choices in careers, education, friendships and day-to-day activities. Not maliciously, but subconsciously and organically, and the way it shapes how you see the world cannot be duplicated Even trying your best for a year falls way short of being able to really, REALLY know "what it's like"

And same goes for me.

I'll never understand how it really feels to be a woman. I "know" why a woman may do her best to look attractive, why a college age girl puts on a dress and heels and hits the bars, but, I'll never know exactly how she feels stepping out the door that evening. I don't have the same motivations on a neurological and psychological level.

Even if I were to try my best to live as a woman for a year or two, and had some kind of magical technology to pass convincingly? I'd still probably draw a blank when one of the other girls I hung out with was discussing some life issue and would say "Oh, you know how it is" or "I had that feeling about him, oh, you know the one" and everyone else at the table would just nod. I'd not too because I understood it, but I'd never GET it.

Yes, we can understand motives better and dating strategies better and understand why certain stereotypical behaviors seem to persist through the sexes if we study one another... but we can never really "understand" what the other half of our species is thinking.

"Harvey Weinstein, therefore all men."

Okay then, "Casey Anthony, Andrea Yates, and Karla Holmoka, therefore all women."

Guilt and shame are only of social use in a high trust society with a shared moral code. Extending the benefit of shame to a foreign invasive and destructive ideology (feminism) leads to diminishing social cohesion.

Despite all the shame and blame articles they seem to churn out these days, more men are becoming anti-feminist. They also somewhat fucked up by allowing red pill content to gain a foothold and become universal.
That is because men, like women, respond to social cues and incentives. They see the numerous failures of feminism and decide that it’s not for them, which is a perfectly rational response.

I’ve become much more anti-feminist in recent years. I used to just make fun of AWFLs but 2020 was a banner year for women whether it be the Branch Covidian Karen’s who screeched if you weren’t double masked and double boosted to the many, many women of all political stripes who bleated their support for Nigger Lives Matter during the Summer of Love. 2020 was probably the most feminine year of politics ever to date and it will go down in the history books as one of the worst years ever, only to be replaced by something further down the road the next time the powers that be decide women are cultural commissars again.

Prove to me that this gap exists at all in the west (the only place that matters, no matter how feminist you and your soycuck friends are in CA, africa isn't going to be feminist). I don't believe this gap exists. Women are grossly preferentially treated by western society and it is not debatable. Where's the gap? Is the gap the fact that there's not perfect parity in all careers? Because women do not want to be mechanics, oil field workers, linemen, factory workers, engineers, etc.

There’s a gap growing now in favor of women. Somehow feminists don’t feel the need to call that out. It’s almost as if the endgame isn’t equality but just amassing as many privileges as possible.

Let's be honest with ourselves. Men are the only ones even capable of being feminist because we recognize the inherent value in a woman. She's worth a horse and two blankets.

This guy is playing the long game. His compatriots tried to brute force the bob & vagene with little success, so Shahbaz decided to develop a more advanced strategy. We’ll see how this plays out, but it could end up being a paradigm shift in pajeet e-game.

For the billionth time ladies, the trannies triumphed over feminism, and you let it happen. That's your toxic masculinity for you, and you can't do shit about it, because you either won't or you know what happens when you do.

Reap, sow, etc.

Edit: oh it's a soyboy pajeet, who still thinks it's 2012 and cowtowing to third wave feminism will get him pussy. That ship sailed a long time ago.

One of the funniest things to me is when people try to be the biggest degenerates possible, fail, crash and burn and come back as nice guys. Boogie2988 is the prototypical example. Maybe funniest isn't the right word, but most fascinating

Aren't most teachers women? Aren't most single-parent families women?
Who exactly is teaching them these values?
In my experience men will take their queues from other men and not women on how to act as men. Most of the time this will be a combination of father + role model. Its a simple fact of life that a woman cant tell a man how to be a man but that a man will recognise from someone they look up to how to be a man.

Great idea. Double-down on the ideology that is one of the main causes of the shitshow that we call clownworld.

Also, alot of western men are default feminist thanks to the propaganda that was shoved in their heads through school and media. So this article is clearly targeted at men who already know feminism is poison but don't quite grasp it just yet.

I wish we’d realise this as a society. We have very different skills, abilities and ways of doing things and they should complement each other. We shouldn’t be squishing peoples innate instincts to care for kids or go out and hunt mammoth.
Still, there's going to be grumbling when one set of skills/abilities/ways of doing things makes more money and gets more prestige than the other....
