most people have far worse things to worry about than some random deviant living halfway around the world from them

Because so-called "animal rights lawyers" only represent animals with rich owners who can afford to hire lawyers for their animals. If animal rights lawyers really gave a shit about animal rights rather than just making money out of rich pet-owners or over-the-hill actresses who decided to become obsessed with animal rights in midlife and decided to sue some zoo or animal farm for social clout, they would be filing these cases against the online zoophile sadists pro-bono, but there's no money to be made there so these lawyers just don't care. They knew about the online "crush" scene for decades and did absolutely nothing to stop it.
