Why the atomic bomb is worse for humanity than you think?

TLDR nuclear weapons are meme weapons that no general or leader in their right mind will ever use.

I really don’t worry about atomic war because I cannot see a general ever using one.
It only takes one Islamist (Pakistan) or other nihilist loony to have a bad day, and the crazy only continues to grow.

I don't think for example a Pakistan-India nuclear exchange would necessarily escalate to a global conflict though.

Not the officials or heads of state no. But to your point, a jaded extremist can maybe steal a warhead or steal information on how to make one. This has been dubbed a “dirty bomb” that is pretty compact. The theory, or fear, is that they can leave it in a city center. And make OKC seem like a fireworks accident by comparison.

But global leaders actually will band together to keep nukes out of the wrong hands. I can’t imagine a non-state entity hasn’t tried to utilize nuclear weapons. Sounds like Tom Clancy fantasy, I know. But I am also pretty sure there are special task forces exactly for this sort of scenario just in case.

I can’t prove anything though.

That being said there is irony that every leader from Xi to The Pope would want to keep their tax cattle alive. Not out of benevolence but pure lawful order.

Yeah, more important than your stupid serious bullshit discussion about war is what kind of video game mascot would result in the aftermath of a nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan?
