Why woke failed

* Insincerity. 'woke' issues became like the soup de jour. People slurped it up when an issue was trendy and then dropped the cause when it no longer was (black lives matter being the most infamous).

* Window dressing and nothing more. Starbucks is a good example. The way they treat their employees is abysmal but the rainbow sticker in the window and diverse hiring practices made them appear 'compassionate' (or so they thought).

* Inability to confront class and ableism. Woke has very much avoided these two things perhaps because it clashes with the ideology of white privilege. Whites trapped in soul crushing poverty or who are born with horrific disabilities (Ricky Berwick etc.) don't fit into the narrative all too well.

It's also because class is the real source of division right now, not race, but focusing on that would threaten the privileges and wealth of the individuals bankrolling these movements for their own political power. Racial tensions were whipped up by Obama et al starting in the 2010s to divert attention from the bank bailouts, mandates to purchase private health insurance from a broken oligopoly, and Fed money printing driving the massive, ongoing increases in income inequality.

Instead they just want to go down the path of more socialism and state control vs. using the government to properly regulate a market system, which is the most efficient and optimal means of allocating goods, services and labor possible.

A few reasons wokeness is failing and we're seeing the end of it:
- it's unreasonable
- it's demanding
- it's constantly changing yet very rigid in enforcing the rules
- it's exclusionary
- it's hateful
- it's insidious
- it produces no positive results
- all the self proclaimed spokespeople for it are lunatics

I'm not aware that it has failed.

It could just be the circles I move amongst but Wokism is the de facto ruling ideology in the environment in my day to day life.

The only time it ever seems to really stumble a little is when a Muslim says something grossly offensive about trans women, gays or real women and even then its more like an inconvenient blip. Last time it happened in my social circle it was explained that this was proof of how Whiteness continued to impact and affect minorities years after colonialism ended.

Black is beautiful and the baseline we must all look to. Trannies are brave. History is bigotry. White men are the most evil force to have ever existed etc.

More than still here, I would say in my experience it is more powerful and far reaching than ever before.

"Woke" used to be a term for anybody who thought Bush did 9/11, but at some point it became a colloquial shorthand for postmodern neomarxism. "Postmodern Neomarxism" is the set of ideas the self-proclaimed French postmodernists used, and they just took them from self proclaimed socialist Jewish intellectuals in interwar germany, the Frankfurt school.

The Frankfurt school itself is a very thin attempt at trying to intellectualize the sabbati zevi/jacob Frank school of occult Jewish relativism to spread it as far as possible, because the sabbateans were just one of the dozens of messianic movements that gave birth to Zionism after the Jewish enlightenment as the jews collectively realized all of their messianic aspirations fell through and they needed a plan.

The reason why "Woke" isn't popular is because it's a novelty movement predicated on a number of axioms that are no longer geopolitical or culturally relevant in the global zeitgeist. Nobody has given a fuck about the Jewish question since the Russian revolution ended and that was the only reason any of these ideas had any cultural relevancy to begin with. Now that Zionism has essentially concluded it's goal you have the ghost of a bunch of dead ideologies that still have astronomical amounts of money and effort being pumped into them with no real goal - and without any sort of tenets or axioms to follow it just signal drifts into increasing incomprehensibility. The people funding it have no clue this is even happening but the people on the receiving end of it have been openly talking about it for decades at this point

Has woke actually failed? What would "woke" succeeding even look like?

It looks to me like it's succeeded to an unexpected and depressing degree.
It's made grifters and corporations money, it's sowed loads of intra-class division which has helped neuter average people and given the elite way more power, there's barely a communal hobby or activity that hasn't had this shit injected into it or been dismantled by enthusiastic patsies who pick it up off fucking social media or reddit.

Even for people who don't buy into the woke stuff, many of them have still slid into culture warfare by hanging their identity on being anti-woke.
I mean, look at even this website: when Hogwarts Legacy came out there were a load of people here bragging to each other about how they had totally owned the trannies by giving $60 each to Warner Bros (multinational corporation that owns the mainstream news station CNN) for their garbage game.

Or like that time a while back where a bunch of idiots thought they were going to show Disney by going to see Alita: Battle Angel instead of Captain Marvel (since the latter was "woke"), except for the fact Disney owned both and therefore they were showing Disney, by giving their money to Disney.

Point is, it sure seems like it's done an ok job to me.

Woke succeeded when we're living in a pod and eat the Bugs and never leave the house while the destroyed cities are flooded with hives of niggos and mexicans.

The war is still going on and people don't like woke as it's fake and the whining of a toddler. You don't fall for it but their goal is to annoy you until you just give in to avoid getting a headache.

"Woke" hasn't actually failed until it falls out of relevancy as a social trend. It may not ever do so since it is built upon a foundation of deeply rooted social injustices that have been often expressed throughout the history of civilization, and because it is a collective hodgepodge that uses all of these historical outrages and incidences as a justification for its own existence, it will be very difficult at best to excise its influence now that it's become a sort of unifying ideological umbrella that people can twist for whatever cause they please.

I don't think it has failed yet. Perhaps it is in the death throes. But companies are still more than happy to appeal to it when possible. Until we see these companies completely pivot away it's too early to say so. Perhaps as the economy continues to worsen, people will wake up. But by then we will have such worse issues with our society we won't even have time to celebrate it's demise.

I mean, if you take it at face value, it's always been failed. I remember talking to number of "woke" women at various points, and thinking I could rally them to causes like not buying shit that used slave labor like chink shit or cheap clothes from Asia or about various ways things like Uber and Doordash, and illegal immigration in general, were basically generating a slave caste, but the answer was always "but not my heckin cheap shit, that's different" even if you suggested that these people should be simply paid over the table and enjoy the same protections as they did. Outside of the most retarded true believers which can somehow live with the doublethink, it's always been a bit of a farce.

It has succeeded however, in being a stick to beat others you might be in competition with. If you subscribe to Turchin's Elite Overproduction theory (which I mostly do), it's just a signalling thing, an elaborate dance and code words to distinguish yourself from others. I think it continues be a big success in that regard.

"Woke" will exist as long as there is mental illness.

I work with a couple of fat slovenly dangerhair bitches who are appallingly woke, and both of them literally believe, among other insane nonsense, that medical licenses are oppression and equity means that you shouldn't need a degree or a certification to be a schoolteacher etc. These people are flat out stone-cold fucking lunatics.

You on Fentanyl?

The Internet made a counter-hegemony possible. It all started with gamergate.
The Internet is also what made "woke" possible because every mentally ill retard now has the ability to spread their insane delusions to potentially the entire world. Radical feminism, self-flagellation over historic colonization and all that shit was already a thing in the 90s and way before that as well, but it didn't gain much public traction until tumblr and twitter. It's no coincidence that this happened at the exact same time when the enshittification of the Internet at the hands of massive corporations really began.

It's very simple: anything based on lies and denial of reality will eventually fail. It might take a while e.g. the Soviet Union, but it will happen.

@SSj_Ness
Wokeism is stronger than ever, and will only get stronger, this is just cope.
No, I don't think so. Most of the world either doesn't go along with it or actively opposes it, and I'm seeing and hearing a lot of people in senior management roles starting to openly go against it. When something hurts their bonuses and shareholdings, that's when CEO's start to pay close attention.

I believe it's only beginning to fail, I've been against wokeism for the past decade or so and it's only now that I'm seeing it slowly, but surely, fall apart.

There are multitude of reasons why:

1. They eat their own eventually; purity spirals, cancellations, and witch hunting is popular among their own. They only really unify when it's someone/something they hate more than each other.
2. Celebration of weakness in all its forms, they actively resist improving physical and mental abilities, health, finances. It's a Nihilistic and cynical view of the world and the idea that one can rise above their position is discarded and mocked.
3. Fearful and furtive nature, these cretins will back off once they realize you cannot be bullied, intimidated, coerced, or threatened into submission. When you pose a significant threat on their physical safety or deprive them of creature comforts, they crumble very quickly.
4. Relentless drive into hedonism. Many of them can express their views rather well, however, their primary purpose is only power and pleasure that belies the noble goals many of them profess to hold. The truth is - they don't care. Power and pleasure and nothing else matters to them.
5. The populace and normies are either uninterested or actively resisting the woke agenda at this point and they face opposition from former allies they've devoured. There's few people who are effective in crusading against wokies like former members.
