* Insincerity. 'woke' issues became like the soup de jour. People slurped it up when an issue was trendy and then dropped the cause when it no longer was (black lives matter being the most infamous).
* Window dressing and nothing more. Starbucks is a good example. The way they treat their employees is abysmal but the rainbow sticker in the window and diverse hiring practices made them appear 'compassionate' (or so they thought).
* Inability to confront class and ableism. Woke has very much avoided these two things perhaps because it clashes with the ideology of white privilege. Whites trapped in soul crushing poverty or who are born with horrific disabilities (Ricky Berwick etc.) don't fit into the narrative all too well.
