It distorts your pet dragon and makes him look goofy instead of ferocious.
Sorry for the lack of Production Values™, this was a few-seconds shot of him perched atop a keyboard, staring at my cameraphone as I lurched back and forth. Cute, idn't he?

Pretty much all he does is stare at you, so he's a pretty low-maintenance pet to begin with, and to top it off you don't need to feed him and he doesn't make noise or messes.

I can u/l a file if anyone wants to make their own -- one sheet of paper and a few minutes work with an x-acto knife, scissors, and scotch tape is all you need. The illusion only works if you have one eye closed or are seeing a camera's view, but it's pretty nifty. Your brain insists his head is really convex and he's turning it, but that ain't the case. Silly brain. Looking at him with two eyes shatters the illusion.

I have a large-format printer, which helps considerably , but he still works in A4 or 8.5x11 or whatever. There's a herd of smaller ones in different colors bouncing around the apartment.

And for heck's sake don't let YouTube "fix" you videos. Word to the wise.

SOME FUN

go to enhancements there is "revert to original"

Meh. I think I'll just re-shoot it and try not to stagger so much, maybe provide some actual "lighting," "focus," and that sort of thing. Maybe not do it in the middle of the night, who knows. It'd take a solid ten minutes.

But in the meantime, you have a point. It wouldn't look too awfully better, but the distortion was what bothered me and it'd do until I get around to replacing it. Cheers.

also. it looks like you shot in 4:3 while 16:9 is native to youtube. i believe their resolution is 1280x720p

Yeah, it was 4:3 due to my equipment at the time and me not caring too much, but I just got a new groovy phone that'll do sixteen-by-nine. It'd also be apropos to end the clip by moving far enough to show he's really inside-out. I think I'll stick a lamp under him, it works really well lit from beneath (makes your brain think the light is coming from above.) Perhaps even open the blinds -- but we programmers love the darkness, and we hate the light.
