I wonder how Wheaton's wife feels about him fapping to a Suicide Girl?

Though this seems to imply he does this a lot, I'm not seeing it in his timeline. Then again, I didn't look very hard, either.

Yeah, Wil. What's up with all the naked ladies?
What a fucking womanizer.

I was thinking of naming it "The Whedonsphere", as every one of these geek culture cows is a friend/dickrider of Joss Whedon.

I'm assuming we're not making a thread for the guy who did the Buffy tv show, created Firefly, and directed the Avengers movies. But I can dream!

I'm assuming we're not making a thread for the guy who did the Buffy tv show, created Firefly, and directed the Avengers movies. convinced an entire generation of women he was a feminist and his thinly-veiled wish-fulfillment porn was a template for female empowerment while cheating on his wife by banging a succession of fit 20-something actresses who won't me-too him, with the wheels only sort of coming off when his wife exposes him a revenge during the divorce negotiations. But I can dream!

Fix'd.
Man is too successful to be a cow. His fans, however...

I mean, didn't TV Tropes start as a place for Whedon fans to sperg about their overpraised and over-twee soap operas? They willed an entire website of :autism: into existence. Although it amuses me to no end every time that they do some "Bring back Firefly" campaign that never gains any steam because the number of people that actually care are far lower than they can accept.

The hilarious thing is that Whedon had plans to ruin the fuck out of Firefly with the ideas he had for upcoming episodes, even a second season would have probably turned it into garbage. Cancelling it is the biggest favor Fox ever did for that show.

Makes you wonder if Wesley had died or something at the end of the first season if the character would be better remembered now.

Well feminism has taken a dark turn with this, so...

Time to send Wil off to the tampon mines.

Probably not. And even if Wesley was better remembered, Wil would have found some other role that people would hate.

Besides, I doubt it'd change anything about the man's current attitude and idiocy.

The funny thing about Wil to me is that Wesley Crusher was an insufferable know it all that nobody liked, and Wil seems like he decided he wanted to embody that in real life. Is he just a method actor that got stuck in character for 30 years?

:powerlevel: Also back when I drank beer and was fat his shitty collab and shittier attitude got me to stop drinking Stone.

I shudder at the thought that he might have ended up on SeaQuest instead of Jonathan Brandis. His character was inspired by Wesley and I'm sure he would have jumped at the opportunity.

I think it’s more that was the role he was stuffed into during his formative years and he never matured past it. Instead turning it into some sort of warped fun house mirror reflection of an actual career and life. Tom Cruise spent his life playing macho snarky action roles because he got cast for Risky Business as a teenager. And never grew up. Same thing happened to Wheaton... except his formative fictional role was Wesley. Which might actually be a step below Screech from Saved By The Bell.

If only someone had molested Wil on set, he might have grown up to be interesting.

I'm split between happy you people aren't ripping like this on me, & wondering why you're mentioning his family & posts by other people with the same surname (who may not be related at all to him)...

...Not to mention Brandis (who I know is dead, & I believe maybe by suicide), not to mention Whedon (who has admittedly included Jed Whedon & others on some projects (like "Dr. Horrible", which also involved Felicia), but refuses to even consider passing creating those things' sequels off to them while he is busy with other things...

Lastly, curious why mention Spacey & other such people/things, but not the thing I have posted regarding lots of places: The fact the majority of sexual allegations (I would've thought this place had gone crazy over with multiple hundreds of threads) are simply that with no corroboration, evidence, proof, or anything like that.
