Will AI make future generations retarded?

I made the mistake of going to reddit. This shit is now in classrooms, absolutely horrifying.

In the words of George Floyd: This generation is clearly lost man, clearly lost man, like, like, I don't even know what to say no more man.
This generation will be last, nothing but lazy consoomers. Reddit is peak retardation and example what untermensch. These bugs will be responsible for teaching gen alphas or the last generation.

Once bombs go off, I can say "I was right" when bugmen are lost, lacking any practical skills Wall-E comes to mind as perfect depiction of future.

That's a thing that's been happening for decades already. Every new quality of life convenience robs you of independent utility to some extent
The big difference is that old tech is about a material offload, while AI is a cognitive offload. Having a horse and a cart to transport goods to another village makes the task easier but the knowledge of what goods, which village, what route and so on (cognitive tasks) remain with the human. Lots of the way I see LLMs used is to offload the thinking.

By your ancestors' standards 99% of people are already retarded, because if placed into even a fairly temperate and benign wilderness, they would be completely useless and die to dehydration and the elements within days.
That's a silly comparison, we have the knowledge to survive in our environment same as a medieval peasant had the knowledge to survive in his. A medieval peasant wouldn't be able to change a flat tire because that's irrelevant to his condition, not because he lacks the mental capacity.

I think we have been the smartest we have ever been in recent history, I had a similar thought like this however, we used to depend on our close communities to gather around and solve problems, now every solution is a product designed by smart people in the other corner of the world. So tell me, does this makes you dumber just because you didnt build the computer with your bare hands?

Intelligence isn't about the right answers in my opinion, its about opportunity recognition, adaptability and clarity of mind, so really, it doesn't matter that AI does your math homework, its more of a symptom of how our education system is outdated and it needs to change, and FAST to these tools.

"Lmaooo this faggot KID doesn't know how folders work!". Cause he hits in/uninstall on an app and moves on with his life. I mean how many people know how their car works? They take it to a mechanic. It has been like this forever, but now it's happening to the personal computer and people are losing their mind.

I didn't start using AI to refine my job application material til recently and I can easily recognize that I need to tune up my own 'quirkiness' by 200% for the AI to keep some of that, making it humane and humored without being predictable (since it's based on millions of other pieces of text). Likewise you can tell immediately if people use gpt to write text cause there's an absurd amount of dashes for my language. But hell people still make fucking typos so why not. I'd rather an incompetent bitch in her 50s use an AI. Why not, she probably has nothing else to add herself.
