I'd say I'm not returning as a viewer to certain TV shows that went full Democrat party propaganda over the past four years, but Saturday Night Live had already been going downhill for at least the last decade, it was just this election cycle that was the last straw for me to stop watching for good.

We're all well aware that news media is going to get worse with the woke but entertainment media works on a different set of assumptions and in that realm, money talks and business walks. With two very unique exceptions (MCU and Steven Universe) the woke media does not sell as a general rule and either underperforms or just up and out bombs completely.

Before, they kept accelerating because the economy was good and these companies had enough cushion that they could listen to the vocal minority of beardo bugmen and dangerhairs and just coast off the money made from them combined with the Chinese.

Now the economy is shit because of COVID-19 and they're going to change the strategy. The leftists won the election under dubious circumstances and everyone's more paranoid and divided than ever. That's going to have a negative impact on sales.

If you want people to forget about the paranoia and keep consooming like they were before Corona, then it makes a lot more sense to drop the woke from the entertainment and pop culture while keeping it up in the news outlets.

Bread and circuses are great but right now nobody's showing up to the circuses because they're pretentious and preachy wokefests while more people are out of work and can't buy bread. Something has to give.

I just think we've finally reached a point where money doesn't talk anymore; ideology does. So many companies have ruined themselves with woke bullshit and have only become martyrs to the movement. Wokeness is not getting weaker, it gets stronger every day and winning an election like this is exactly the kind of fuel needed to ensure many more years of increasingly smug bugman shit.

Like I said before, Trump didn't cause the slant of the media, he revealed it.

They aren't going to suddenly "get better" now that they've seemingly defeated Trump. You really think they are going to have the magnifying glass on Biden and Harris as much as they did Trump? No way on Earth. That administration could start three wars on three different continents, and they'll find some way to ignore it.

And general entertainment has slowly been restricting itself for years and years. The fear of "offending someone" and "being inclusive" has gotten in the way of quality writing and creativity. Getting rid of Trump isn't going to suddenly change that trajectory.

The difference without Trump? That'll take away a major focus for them to channel their energy. I mean how long can they possibly milk the Trump cow after he's out of office? I mean if we're a year into Biden and everyone is still making fun of Trump, they'll just look stupid (I know I know, when has that ever stopped them before but they'll look even more stupid).

Without Trump, we will have a world where there will be a MASSIVE gap in news media coverage, and an entertainment world that can't make any un-PC jokes just lost the one guy they could make fun of without fear of massive blow back. He was their muse and without him to drive them, they're fucked. Online "news" sources won't get as many clicks. Twitter won't get as much traffic, and the leftist media in general lost its villain.
