Will Ryan is the producer of the anime review show Animerica, with him acting as the character Phoenix the First alongside with another character Atlas, portrayed by JT Kamp. Alan Morrisey was also featured in the show as Foxcatcher but he unexpectedly left. The show originally started out independent but they got a partnership with Channel Awesome sometime by the end of 2013, where they began uploading their episodes to that website in 2014, before they left in the middle of 2017, going independent again.


Will Ryan is known for being perpetually angry and prone to exploding in rage, whether in real life or as his Animerica persona Phoenix the First (who more likely than not just serves as an extension of him based on his attitude). He's also been known for being extremely opinionated and making fun of people who like shows and genres he doesn't like, such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the giant robot genre, and uses #TruthBomb whenever someone agrees with his opinion. His ego is clearly displayed by his show's tagline "The Internet's Best Anime Reviews".

Aside from that, he's been heavily involved in GamerGate in support of it.

So he doesn't make good content and sperged about Goober globber 4 years ago. What makes him different from the average sperg on Channel Awesome? The fact that he was pro-GG when most TGWTG shitstains were anti? Is the most interesting thing about him that he doesn't like Gurren Lagann?

I will literally eat a fucking knife before I watch a TGWTG spinoff anime review show, so don't tell me the humor comes in there. That just sounds inherently boring and terrible.

Anime only does three things to you.

1.) Makes you a NEET virgin who thinks cutting off your penis is a good idea and go tell kids to do it.
2.) Makes you a NEET virgin who becomes a Nazi and then drives a car into a crowd of people.
3.) Makes you a NEET virgin who converts to Islam and blows up a building.
