It has been rumored for literally years now and normally Disney can't help themselves with the money printer, but we still don't have a sequel.

They have a series of shorts set in the same universe (during the timeframe of the story, even) on Disney+.

I loved that about Zootopia tbh, how at first you're ready to accept that predators = white people and prey = black people, but then you get Nick's backstory and it's like, holy shit, it's actually about how racism is bad and not "white people bad."

I forgot about Nick's backstory, but once I was reminded of it yeah thats the turning point, but the reveal of the assistant mayor really pushes Zootopia's message to something that I am surprised there was not backlash over in 2020.
