They made her tits far larger than normal in the original game because low poly and super deformed styles both are supposed to accentuate specific individual features to make the characters stand out and look unique compared to everyone else. Depends, the earlier games had her more stylized and going into more outrageous scenarios, the current games tried for a tone change and wanted more realistic structured threats. Resident Evil kinda did the same thing, the later games had a more grounded cause for all the zombies rather than a vague virus outbreak that suddenly causes zombies with wild mutations everywhere. Lara was always proportioned similar to a comic book character which was closer to a normal human proportions than an SD character.

Personally I liked shadow out of the best of the new trilogy. Probably the best game that allowed you to fully explore a rainforest to date.
