Windows Recall AI snapshots stored in an unencrypted SQL file in appdata. Apparently. Already there is scripts to install it on unsupported devices.

Makes me glad I use Macs at home and work and that Apple at least keeps up the pretence of valuing user privacy and security (rainbows here). I honestly don’t know why anybody would need this feature unless you had alzheimers or something.
You know, you might be on to something. The Boomers are getting old, and they have swung the market for their entire lifetimes. I know for a fact it's why websites nowadays have enormous fonts and buttons you could rest a tray of baked goods on.

I can see the next generation of elders asking the kindly Microsoft© AI™ for their grandson's birthday date that he told them over Microsoft© Teams™ chat, every few minutes, over and over, forever.

Steven Sinofsky was, among other things, President of the Windows Division for 3 years, shipping Windows 7 (good!) and Windows 8 (...)

He's calling Recall a "zero-day exploit."

Noita runs on Windows only.

That means I need to make the choice between a nigger-Windows user or switch to Linux and give up Noita (and probably most games I play). I know there are many Office choices but MS Office apps are the ones I've been using as long as I've been using computers.

It's hard making a switch to a new OS, even if it's better, when most of the shit you need or want to run isn't compatible with it.
Unless you are playing aome bespoken game from the Windows 98 era, Proton plays the vast majority of Windows games perfectly. I'm able to play Nier:Automata, DoA5 and 6 and even Noita (before I dropped it) perfectly. Like I said earlier, ancient games moght have some problems, but it's best to just use a VM or a workaround in those cases and honestly it .probably doesn't run well on modern Windows. Certainly beats using a literal pajeetware OS.

So it seems that I have Windows Home from my research to turn this off, since Home apparently doesn't have Group Policy? So I should be safe from all this? No Core Ultra sticker, either. I am retarded with deep funky techno stuff like this.

What is the alternative? I use Linux once, like black tar heroin, it troons me out. I'd rather keep my dick. Do you even have windows 11? Everything can be switched on and off. Including this thing. It's a tool. A retarded one, but a tool that you can choose to activate or not.
if installing a os is gonna make you troon out you were ngmi in the first place

Yeah. For now. But soon you won't be able to disable the unwanted AI Windows forces on you. Remember the fuckery with Edge? It will become more and more complicated to get rid of it until most people give up and just try to pretend it's not there.

This whole thing is a privacy nightmare.
