I saw something interesting in the Youtube comments and went and looked it up myself- turns out it's true. Apparently the weight watcher's point allotment system is exceedingly simple. It starts off at 150 pounds gets a point range of 18-23 points and then increases in small increments every 25 pounds.
Weight | Points | Weight | Points |
150 pounds | 18 to 23 points | 150 to 174lbs | 20 to 25 points |
175 to 199lbs | 22 to 27 points | 200 to 224lbs | 24 to 29 points |
225 to 249lbs | 26 to 31 points | 250 to 274lbs | 28 to 33 points |
275 to 299lbs | 29 to 34 points | 300 to 324lbs | 30 to 35 points |
325 to 349lbs | 31 to 36 points | Over 350lbs | 32 to 37 points |
You might notice the points system decreases to only 1 extra point per 25 pounds at the 250 pound mark. If Wings is 450 pounds that would put him in the 36 to 41 points range. If he is giving himself 74 points, even more than Weight Watcher's maximum amount, then he is eating
twice as much as he should be. I don't know if he just arbitrarily came to that number or if Mr "What's 8 x 12 you idiot" just fucked up the math with his remedial algebra skills but at this point he literally might be better off as he was rather than eating
double what he's supposed to.
Keep in mind apparently in 2010 Weight Watchers abandoned its calorie focused approach for points and instead started using "healthy" foods for lower point costs which included expanding its 0 point cost food list. So Wings very well might be eating even more than double the calories he needs to lose weight.
