He was mildly popular on here for a minor lolcow when things were going normally and people could just comment on his spergouts and the occasional tidbit of new information about him. The trolls came to dominate the thread because they turned out to be vastly worse than he was in quite literally every way possible, and their spergouts were bigger, spergier, and generally more entertaining than some fat dude chucking a controller.

It's not "fear of being lumped in with the trolls" that keeps him from being some Big Name Lolcow or something, he just doesn't do that much. He never did, he had some drama with his circle of friends and he freaked out on stream. For most people that's enough to occasionally make a post on his thread (because not every lolcow has to warrant their own fucking forum), but apparently some particularly autistic twits see that and get a good strong misfire in their brain that causes them to become obsessed with shit like hissing about his "lies" as if he had personally befriended and betrayed them with whatever he says about his weight.

The dude's a dumbass that used to do entertaining stuff while streaming vidya. Post when and if he does some entertaining stuff when streaming vidya, let the thread rest otherwise, that's it, that's seriously all that is necessary. Do not become emotionally involved in the lolcow's behavior.

honestly the recent fake wedding scam drama, along with his continued lies about his weight go to show that there is a lot more material than just fat dude throws a controller.

In the span of just the last 3 months wings tricked a cancer patient into becoming engaged with him so he could get her health insurance, then had her parents told about the ulterior motive of the arrangement by a turbo autist a-log and the thing cancelled, he sold his second or third mustang to buy another one, he threw a controller again for the first time in like 9 months. He set off a bunch of autistic troll drama by striking lummox. He banned a like 5 year supporter from playing with him over rainbow six. He doxxed his phone number on stream twice by flexing about his car and accidentally being logged into a online marketplace. Furthermore it was revealed he had an active account on a escort site, while he was engaged with said cancer patient, then lied about why. Finally he went from a card carrying Bernie bro in January to a trump supporter in March because he found out the family he was scamming was conservative.

Ultimately the reason I think he isn’t popular here is what has been said already in the thread. His a-logs are so childish (the troll channels) autistic (chargebackers) or a deadly combination of both (Edmontonskeptic) that nobody wants to be even obliquely related to them.

Sure, DSP has his place here for a reason. I guess my point was just that in my opinion this bankruptcy stuff is the most engaging and hilarious saga we have had yet. We have trolls potentially buying his debt. DSP lying under oath and being grilled for it etc.

I think my larger point still stands however that in these last 3 months that the DSP bankruptcy stuff has been ongoing wings himself has put out quite a bit of lolcow milk, certainly enough to dispel any characterisations of just being fat guy who throws controller.
Furthermore in Phils forum he has whole threads about his wheelchair subscribers and their hilarious antics. Likewise some of the most absurd wings trolls reach this same level of hilarity, specifically EdomontonSkeptic who is at the very least Sons of Kojima level if not worse.

Just always found it interesting that despite all the similarities when you really dive into it between the two one gets a lot more focus here.

Null doesn't even bother with this thread, if there's no interest here it's cause Wings isn't as interesting as other people on the site. I'm inclined to agree, only because the Wings content isn't as varied as the DSP stuff. DSP has Kat, the whole bankruptcy, his dumb fans and its mixed in with intermittent begging.

Wings is definitely been on the rise since the surgery, but the average Wings stream is pretty samey. Wings has even been getting on board with some jokes and laughing along occasionally. I will say that Wings trolls are definitely more creative than other trolls though. Liquid Richard and the people who do funny donations like Suckin Sams make him worth keeping an eye on.

If you mean the thing with Wings' trolls coming to light, I think it went something like:

1) The trolls start doing illegal chargebacks and a few other forms of fraud because Wings wasn't giving them as much attention anymore and, according to them, they were justified in doing whatever it took to get him to acknowledge them again (pretty sure those posts are still in this thread)
2) The trolls manufacture a paper trail trying to make Wings completely unemployable (instead of only mostly unemployable) because they heard he was looking for a job and they're angry about that because they like mocking him for not having a job
3) Null hears about this and decides it meets his standards for Going Too Far so directs attention to them instead
4) They lose their minds and freak out harder than the fat man ever did complete with constant over-the-top paranoia, vicious infighting, and promises of more gay ops against whoever doesn't get back into formation in the personal army
5) They eventually reeeeeeeeee themselves out, probably because they ran out of people to block on discord, and scuttle off under the fridge to lurk
